I wonder, since nobody seems to be taking accountability for their own actions or responsibility for their own lives, then who does that leave to shoulder the weight? I mean, Paris Hilton went to jail for 2.2 seconds for something that you and I would have spent months in the local county jail for. Mothers (if you can call them that!) like Andrea Yates can cold-heartedly hold their own children's faces under water and drown them, but it's okay because God supposedly told her to do it. Parents don't have to teach their children the ABCs or how to write their name or even how to tie their own shoes because that's what their teacher(s) get paid to do, right? WRONG!
I think it's time for the world in general to start holding people accountable for their actions! Paris Hilton should serve the sentence handed down for her crime, and if she experiences some mysterious illness, don't release her! Send her to the jail infirmary where all the other unfamous, poor, non-headline-generating criminals go when they get sick! Andrea Yates and other monsters like her should receive the death penalty for her crime or spend the rest of her earthly life staring at photographs and home videos of the five beautiful children whose lives SHE (not God) chose to steal. And, mothers and fathers that have no interest in their kid's lives should be forced to attend school with their children so they can learn how to teach their kids the basics that should be taught at home.
I just want to know: When did it become okay for everybody to pass the buck and nobody to be held accountable for anything?

While I still am not entirely sure about my opinion regarding the death penalty, I agree with your other points. Accountability is dying- it's your parents fault, or the media, or The Man, or anything else.
Yes...anything but ourselves! What a sad thing!
