What goes through someone's head as they are beating someone to death? What happens when that person is a child?
I read the article today on how a certain little Nixzmary was killed by her step-father. He just smashed her head into the faucet because he was trying to get some sense into her by putting her head under cold water. How is that not messed up? Now reports say that she was a pretty violent little girl and that her parents even put restraints on her to keep her from getting at her siblings. Well, if I had a step-father that starved me (she weighed about 36 pounds at 7 years old) and kept me locked up I'd have an attitude too. People nowadays have attitudes for less. Of course, medical help wouldn't have been a better alternative to smashing her head into a faucet for stealing yogurt from the refrigerator (sarcasm). If I was starving and food was in the kitchen I think I'd go help myself too. Ridiculous. I'm not sure how much pressure he was under and if mybe the mother had something to do with it as well. As someone looking forward to beig a parent this story made me a little disappointed. Of course it was wrong to kill the little girl. It's so very sad it had to end up the way it did. It's sad that the parents didn't find a better alternative to dealing with their child's behavior. Just what was going through his mind? Maybe he thought spare one for the sake of the whole?
Another child dead because people can't control themselves.

We just had a story like this in Minneapolis this week, too. A four-year-old boy beaten to death by a woman who was babysitting while his dad was in jail. She reported him missing to place suspicion elsewhere. How do people get to the place where hurting a child is okay?
this guy was completely open about it too. Just like "yeah I did it. So what?" Then for the woman you're talking about to just be like "Oh it wasn't me", is completely ridiculous!!! Honestly, being a parent is an experience that's pretty specific especially since every child is different, but KILLING the child? So wrong...
