Is it like this in every state or just in the Great State of Ohio. They demand better schools with airconditioning and security cameras but then give the schools no way to fund these operations. Leaving half of the schools in Ohio to cut budget by cutting out programs or just closing their door to students. Why can't there be a flat flat rate of pay added to everyones income taxs that goes to schools? This would at least give the schools a little bit more funding for the future. Children are losing there education because tax payers won't pass the levies and the state is mandatig new upgrades.

If we didn't spend so much money in Iraq, I bet there would be enough money for schools to get funding directly from the government.
I hate to be the voice of reason because I agree with you...for the most part. I live in a part of Ohio that take taxes out of your check for the school system. When you apply for a new job you have to file a form stating which school district you live in so that they know where to direct the tax. My kids go to city schools that were just rebuilt and we as city dwellers had to adjust to the rise in our local taxes.
