There is an article today on cnn that states that there is a proportion of schools that don't have recess ranges from 7 percent for first and second grades to 13 percent by sixth grade. Are our schools systems getting tight that we can not longer let kids be kids. Children need a break in the day just to be them selves. We drill tests into them all day long studying for the ask and the geppa and the pass that children need a down time. Recess is a time that kids to be imaginative, to show innovation on the playground. And it's one of the times when kids actually get to interact with their friends. There are some kids that need recess. What about the hipper active child that needs that time to run and burn off steam. As I teach I notice when I take time off of recess from a child that they have a harder time getting through the day. In a world where we make our child group up way to fast we need to let them still have a small amount of time just to be children. I ask all the parents or young adults with brother or sisters what do you think about this new law? We need to have recess it is important for children and education as well.

I think recess is very important in children's lives. Do we remember going through elementary school..i don't really. There are a few instances that i don't like to remember, but there are tons of fun recess occasions that i remember. Sneaking into the school woods...(not a good example for this kind of thing but we were little and adventurous! ) making all the boys let us two girls play football with them. Playing chicken on the monkey bars and falling down and cracking my head open...not a good thing either but it taught me something.
Teens have enough work to do when they get older, we only wish we had a recess. Why make kids grow up any faster than they have too?
