so here i go..the first post on the way to a better future..

or at least thats wat im praying for..

im a first time blogger, so for those who read wen iit comes to online writing..well i basically throw most english and spelling rules out the window so..bare with me and read onn!

topic of intrest:: The Jena 6 [[sidebar=how do i make my text size and font different?.ahh.HELP!!]]

so here it is....Well im a Dr.Phil watcher and i just can't seem to help but sit down with my mom everyday scanning over our packed TIVO guide and talk along with the T.V. as our favorite Dr. gives good and sometimes not so good advice! About last week he had a couple shows on the the Jena 6 and their parents.

For those who dont know the Jena 6 are 6 african american young men of Jena,La that are being accused of "attacking" a fellow white student after he had allegedly spewed racial slurs toward them. Along with this at the school they all attend nooses were hung from the "white tree" in the lunchyard after a black student asked to sit under it.

Ok..know that that is clarified here are a few of my issues with wat i witnessed on Dr. Phil that day.

  1. Micheal Bell= Michael Bell is one of the Jena 6 who has had the most publicity because he had still been detained after the other Jenna 5 had been set free. There has been rallys and such because this young man was still in jail. Peolple were trying to blame iit on mr.bell's attorney, racism and unfair justice. What they hav not taken the time to consider is that this boy has had numerous prior counts of assault. So his still being in a detention center has nothing to do with the events of this certain incident but because of the fact that he is continuously making this offense after having continuous punishments. The other 5 boys were relesed because of no prior record that would put up red flags about there behavior thus far.
  2. Seperation and The"White Tree"=The adults of Jena were overall in denial about the racist tension and seperation in Jena. They continuously said there is no racism and that they all were united and together. The way i see it adults can lie about how it really is all they want but kids nowadays hav no problemn with being completly honest about how they feel. The hanging of the noose on the tree was a symbol of the feeling of that town. Those teens did not aquire that view of the world on their own. They say the most influential people in a childs life is their parents..

what i hav to say about the parents is next!! iits 1 in the morning and i am tired of staring at this computer screen.

part 2 coming soon!!!!

nxt time..ashley

"well i basically throw most english and spelling rules out the window so..bare with me and read onn! " Here's some advice: Don't do that. It annoys a lot of people on the site and therefore, they don't read what you write.
