Progressive U- Volunteer U. if you have nothing to do this summer you should volunteer. In fact, this summer I am going to be involved in the walk to fight hunger in Baltimore.59% of the families make less than a 1000 dollars, most can not afford to feed their families. I was also planning to do other community service that involved helping in the community not just sending money and walking with other folks who can afford to feed their families. I think that anyone can volunteer and its easier than what other think. You can go on Idealist.com or google volunteer. What you can do to help people can be a gift to millions and others and help your self esteem and your ideals of how the government and society should treat people. Go out help you community.Teach youth, help the elderly, do something for free and dont even put it on your lastest transcript. Just do it for the community, the church or your grandma. You can do this for your sorority as a group or for your school for community service hours. Community service also take sht epressure off the government and keeps programs alive so they wont be shut down. There are too many that are being shut down and not funded because nobodies there.
