What a sad, sad concept. It's a good program, yes, it's just sad that it's needed. What's happened to the quality of life? I couldn't imagine feeling the need to drown myself in intoxicants. Just like most of us pick up a spoon and eat cereal to start our days, addicts are picking up needles & straws. These people are not only harming themselves by ingesting these deadly chemicals... they're hurting the rest of the country too. Because many of them don't function as they should, they're forced to feed their habits by robbing the working class. Rather than working a nine-five and cashing their paychecks to buy the chemicals or the finished products, they're letting us do the work while they sit back and watch for our lights to go out... when we flick the switch, they're in our cars & garages, or digging through our garbage cans. While we're trying to keep ourselves out of debt, they're running up granny's credit card bills because she forgot to shred her last statement.
Meth is a huge problem here in the Pacific Northwest. While I don't personally know of any users, you can't go a day without hearing about a lab being busted, or another person being arrested for posession. The only time there isn't something in the local police blotter is Mondays... just because there really isn't a police blotter 'cause the newspaper staff is very minimal on Sundays. Washington & Oregon states have "meth watch" programs. They're mostly aimed at retailers. These programs supply retailers with the information & materials they need to aide police in catching meth cooks. There are pictures all over town of what regular meth users look like, and little "meth watch" stickers in the windows of the retailers that report suspicious activity. I'm not sure what other states have these programs, but I encourage you to find out what your area offers, and see what you can do to help.
We need to make our streets safe for our kids, and for ourselves.

Oh yeah- check out my attachment for a ten year user's facial progression. This is the poster that's all over the area.
The pics are horrible! How can anyone think about drugs after seeing that?
