Great post, I'm vegan and I've worked at an SPCA taking care of homeless animals. After working there I know I could never buy a dog from a store who has been bred to make money, while there are thousands of animals out there that no one wanted to buy, usually because they're mutts.

wow, i never knew about the dog mills. that almost makes me cry but i couldn't agree more and I am going to take action in my city against pet shops that sell puppies. we all need to get involved. "Remember, It is better to rescue than buy when everyday dogs die."
When I heard about it, I was sick. I agree, everybody should get involved. I plan to work for the ASPCA some day and fight against cruelty like this.
