Okay, i am new at this whole thing. Finding "Original" topics to discuss is challenging, considering that most topics have been discussed prior. But, it seems that everyone has a little different view or opinions about topics discussed. So, im just putting my input and things i think about throughout the day, original or not.
I will admit, some blogs might be deep with food for thought, and others will probably be light and not original.
What is Original?? what are the standards for blogs here??
A lot of topics i am seeing discussed is nothing new, just a different person reflecting their views. Maybe it's just me, but im having trouble coming up with "original" topics for discussion.
going further, "originality" seems to be the craze these days. Everyone is trying to invent the newest thing, newest ideas, original merchandise, original self-expression. We have a need to be original in life in general. What makes us special? Our original characteristics, dispositions, clothing, thought processes and interests. Today, there are many ways people can set themselves apart from others and be original. However, the strive for originality is becoming more and more challenging...
the "original" are turning into the "norms"...until further notice when something more New comes along.

You have a valid point. It is hard to find "original" blogs because all the hot topics are basically taken. Then if you think you're doing something original and you post it, then you look at the related blog list and see that four people already did that topic! It can be stressful for those trying very hard to be unique.
I hate to use this phrase, because it's become unoriginal itself, but you must try to think outside the box. Try some oddball topics like...the psychology surrounding peanut butter. Go for the specific rather than a broad topic and you suddenly make an unoriginal blog original.
There's a guy on here that blogs about funerals. That's original.
Adding an original twist on an overplayed subject never hurt anyone, either. Most importantly, just don't throw out the same old irrational arguments that everyone and their dog seems to have about a subject.
