Open mouth insert foot moment for Bush?

" President Bush said Friday the United States' unsuccessful war in Vietnam three decades ago offered lessons for the American-led struggle in Iraq."

This coming from a guy who DIDN"T serve and DIDN"T GO even though he claimed he supported the war.

Person after person told him to find OTHER SOLUTIONS in Iraq rather than attack. He was told to USE an INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY and follow sanctions. EVERYONE said, "WAR SHOULD BE THE LAST RESULT."

And even the news media was reporting that "Saddaam studied our history and told people that HE UNDERSTOOD how to WIN over the Americans. All he had to do was STUDY the HISTORY of the last 50 years: Korea, Vietnam, Samalia..." In fact he was quite on his way to doing winning when he got captured.

And how many people think all these deaths were worth Saddaam being found guilty?

Do the Iraqis people think so? Does Cindy Sheehan think so? Does Carlos Arrendando think so?

So now Bush is back to this stay the course message.

"We tend to want there to be instant success in the world, and the task in Iraq is going to take awhile," the president said.

He called the Iraq war a "great struggle" and said, "It's just going to take a long period of time for the ideology that is hopeful — and that is an ideology of freedom — to overcome an ideology of hate."

"The elections mean the American people want to know if we have a plan for success. I assured John that any repositioning of troops — if that's what we choose to do — will be done with close consultation with John and his government. He brushed off suggestions that the United States might beef up its forces in Iraq and said, "I'm going to listen to our commanders. Ours is a conditions-based strategy."

We just had a BLUE TIDAL WAVE over the war in Iraq and he still is willing to SLAUGHTER PEOPLE in Iraq and SLAUGHTER OUR SOLDIERS and LEAVE our country DEFENSELESS.

This man has EARPLUGS and needs a HEARING aid! He has BLINDSPOTS and needs GLASSES.

The guy is a millionaire and his family have gotten MUCH RICHER since he became pResident!

Can't the guy SPLURGE on a hearing aid and bifocals for god's sake?

Oh yeah-he's already gutted social security and medicare supplements for seniors-guess he'll buy them out of pocket!
