In my high school in two different classes we hold current events discussions every week. I think more high schools should do this because for one it helps to inform the masses of students that might not normally care but now do because it takes up class time...me excluded of course.

in my international relations class we do current events. i love it, i learn a lot, and its fun to watch people argue over something that is actually important ^_^
i think history and govt teachers need to do current events- whats the point of learning just about the past and not about the current issues affecting us now?? ^_^
