Validity of Religious beliefs

A few weeks back I watched several parts of the documentary Zeitgest which opened up my eyes to a lot of things I somewhat ignored before. Maybe I should watch it again to recall most of the things that it covered, but it basically gave background information on the way other religions came to be from adaptation from the Egyption god, Horus. Horus is the ancient Egyptian god of sun. Most of the characteristics and known facts of Horus is copied thus creating the religious saints and such that you believe in now like Jesus Christ. There seems to be immense similarities among the grandest figures in religions, the stories interpretted in their own way though but still sticking to the similar occurrences that pertain to the activities of the sun. All religions are for the most part connected. Most of what comes to be religion comes about from astronomy which explain the reasons for all sharing similar backgrounds. Oh, and the world is not necessarily going to end in 2012, we are just entering a new constellation. I'll go back and watch more on the constellations because it is quite hazy, but this film is very influential and eye-opening.
