Between Dreams

Where do dreams come from? Are they the silent reminder of thoughts pushed to the innermost recesses of your mind? Or are they something more tangible? Are they all that could be if we chose to pursue them and not become discouraged by the difficult road ahead? Some might answer no, but how many times have we tried to pursue these dreams we keep in isolation in the dark spaces when they scream to see the light and burn as the tiny flame burning to become reality out of such tacit desire within each of us. Some things may be impossible, some may be stupid, some may be implausible, but there is always the chance that one singular dream can become the happy reality we all envision. We just must make it come true. We must sometimes defy the antagonism of others, the fight against a pervasive immorality that smothers us and transcend the imaginary boundaries of what is said to be impossible.

I am supporting Barack Obama not because he is African American. Not because he is not Hillary Clinton. Not because he is young. Not even because he is a Democrat.

I support Barack Obama because I have never seen someone inspire and dare to dream as he has. I have never seen someone come from such a varied background and achieve so much while still maintaining a respect for all, even those who dislike his ideas, see him as a barrier to a brand of progress dedicated to crushing opponents and distorting the past, and yet he looks at all as his peers and his equals. A man of this depth of character is hard to find and I have no doubt that he will find a way to make true progress and make true change. He has already united us by touching this innermost region of our minds a small stifled voice calls from within, and when doubt pushes our dreams further we suddenly begin to hear the quiet stifled cry of words gaining strength calling, "Yes, we can."
