Sleep Deprived Insomnia... Sleeping Pills = Hell in a Bottle!

Ok, so I have really bad insomnia. I have to take sleeping pills every night. Which by the way is probably not a good thing to take unless you have sever insomnia like I do. I have been taking them for about five years now. Last year I was actually able to quite. It took me three weeks to stop haveing withdrawls. I shook at night. I talked to myself constantly in my sleep. I would wake up about ten of fifteen times every night. I would sweat really badly. Well, I was able to stay off of them until I got to college and I started haveing major stress. You know, papers, tests, things that I procrastonate about. And I also freak out if I do not get at least six hours of sleep a night. I freak out because I know that I am going to feel very crappy the next day! When I do not get enough sleep my IBS, a stomach disease, acts up horribly! Anyways, I am here to spread the word. Unless you have severe sleeping problems, then you do not want to get mixed up with sleeping pills! I am not worried about getting to sleep tonight because it is the week end but every other night, it is hell if it is after two in the morning because I start worrying. I lay awake every single night worrying. Worrying about my grandmother, my family, my health, that big test that I did not study for. By the way I do study for ninety nine percent of my tests. Anyways, avoid sleeping pills! Once every couple of months is fine but anymore then that, be careful about it!

I agree with you on how bad sleeping pills can be. I've never actually taken sleeping pills because I sleep fine, but I've seen the affects first hand.

I live in a Co-Ed college dorm, and I feel pretty safe here. But there's this guy named Justin who lives down the hall from me who has to take Ambien to sleep. He's a big guy and so he already has a really high dosage. But he still has trouble sleeping so he takes more than what he is supposed to take. This causes he to sleep walk.

One night he stood outside the door of the girls across the hall from me for about an hour before the called the RA and security guard on duty. They didn't open the door, obviously, but he was outside their door threatening to kill them and their families and banging on their door. He actually managed to break his phone because he got so violent.

When the security got there he tried to fight them, but they managed to take him down. They called the police and and he went to jail that night because they thought he was too much of a threat to stay. He woke up the next morning in a jail cell and had no clue how he had gotten there. I can't even imagine how frightened and confused I would have been in his place!

I have insomnia really bad as well, and so I've been through every simple test you could imagine. Have you ever considered that you may have an anxiety disorder that is causing your insomnia? IBS, anxiety, and lack of sleep all are interrelated. The anxiety can cause the others.
