This "progressive" website is full of such hostility, and hatred for difference of opinion. Why? What is so dangerous about considering someone else's opinion? Is it that someone else could possibly have vaild points? Or is it that we, as youths, are just so developed in our opinions that considering other points of veiw is just pointless. It is a great sign of immaturity to think that we are right all of the time because no one is right all of the time. i am not trying to sound self rightous here, because i'll admit that i am guilty of it too. often i am caught up in the emotional aspect of topics that i am passionate about, but those are my most immature moments and the moments that i am working to eradicate from my life. There are many sides to all issues, not just the side that you beleive in, so before going on a tyrad that complete discreidits the ideas that someone is putting forth, at least consider them. if you disagree with them, comment, share your opinion, but don't act like you ideas are superior to the poster's. this, of course is just a suggestion, but in my opionion this forum is very immature and very self rightous, again, i have in some ways contributed to this, but someone needs to point it out. Harboring hatred for people who disagree causes unnessasary stress for everyone invovled, so instead of hating gays, feminists, anti-feminists, people who are pro-choice, pro-life, whatever, why not try to see where these people are coming from. if nothing else it will only make your agruements stronger, and you might just learn something.

hmm...i really like your point of view. ( im not being sarcastic, im being serious) i think that everyone should see both sides of a situation and not act like they are better than the other. but then again as youself i have contriubted a couple times, but hey admiting it is the first step. lol
I very much agree with this. It really bothers me when people will not consider in the slightest someone else's opinion. I know that i don't do it all the time, like you said, but i try.
I think that the immaturity of some people here is indeed VERY lackluster. I have had only five days worth of Progressive U & already I think that this place is full of anti-U's! *Some people anti-u & pro-me!* I am pro-truth, but if I can only see my side of the fence, what have I learned? I believe truth will stand on it's own two feet, if it is indeed truth.

Yes, you are guilty. I'm a victim of your irrational hatred. And there are three things we need to go over:
1) Please learn to break your paragraphs properly. I know you're passionate about a lot of things and can't bother with such trivial things when you're on a roll, but paragraphs REALLY are useful. If anything, they won't keep people from reading your thoughts.
2) The rest is for everyone. There's actually no reason to be emotionally affected--in a bad way, at least--from just arguing with total strangers. It may be that I'm not passionate enough about anything to get completely offended, but I believe the key is to have a little sense of humor and not take yourself THAT seriously.
3) It also helps, of course, to not be as one-sided. Accept that people have different point of views, and we are here to inform, not to enforce our beliefs on others. Whether or not they decide to believe what you believe in (and have, upon wise judgment, relayed) is up to them. Don't go bashing them and their beliefs because they refuse to join you. Doggoneit.
