Okay okay, black plus white does not make grey, clearly since there are no grey people. And actually, this blog is not about just black plus white, its about interracial relationships.
I happen to firmly support people having the freedom to love whom ever they want. What really I would like to bring up is the rasicm that grows beyond our black and white communities; in asian, latino, and indian cultures, and everyone else I can't categorize that easily. I would just like to know why people think it is okay to condemn and judge some one beacause they fall in love with and maybe even marry some one who is not the same race as them. It is heartbreaking to know that some grandparents disown and reject their grandchildren because they are of mixed ethnicity.
I am hoping as time goes on, and mixed families become increasingly common, that the ignorant view that mixing ethnicities is wrong will fade. It is so ironic that I was raised by parents who were missionaries for nearly 20 years of their marriage and they even were ignorant and rascist when my sisters and myself dated men of color. How can you be a Christian and be rascist? It goes against everything Jesus taught. Growing up singing the tune "Jesus loves the little children" I have been raised to believe "they are yellow, black, and white, they are all great in his site," and we are all supposed to be like Jesus and love each other the same! Mind-boggling.
Either way, I support interracial realtionships of every shade and I pray that one day that ignorance shall pass.

I agree! We are becoming the generation of acceptance; I wish our parents & elders would be more open to new ideas, but that is not how they grew up.
Change takes time.
Older people are the one’s causing all the confusion by keeping racism alive and kicking.
Youth with the fuck you attitude will bring change overtime.
One fine day racism will die out because the world will finally become a melt pot of colours in which talent will arise to make us become the reason why we are here in the first place!

But of course social and economic class division, sexual orientation, religion, or anything you can think of that can seperate you from anyone at all will still exist and someone will always be around to try and judge you...
It's 2008. If someone thinks its unnatural for interracial relationships to occur they are probably near death... or raised in the south. No.. kidding about the south thing (somewhat). There are too many real things to worry about in the world today...ethnicity shouldnt even be on the list.
