This is going back to that Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat trade that was basically Shaq ONeil for Shawn Marion. At the press conference Shaq said that the sun will rise in Phoenix referring to the Phoenix Suns holding up the championship banner at the end of the season . He said that when he is doubted, he usually does things like win championships. So far the sun has not risen. In fact they are only a .500 team with him, although they have definetely been playing better of late. They had been 2 and 5 before this current four game winning streak that has propelled them to 6 and 5 with Shaq on the team. He has finally gelled with the team, creating more room for Amare Stoudamire to operate. Amare's rebounds and points per game have improved drastically when Shaq got here. The reason they weren't doing that well originally is because of their defense. Now after Shaq got a little more playing time and experience with the team, they are doing better. They have started to play more like a team and less like individuals. Steve Nash has finally learned how to incorporate Shaq in the offense, which is expected out of arguably the best point guard in the world.
The Sun still hasn't Risen
