I went to church for the first time ever in my life on 7/11/07.
This is what I wrote.
I guess I feel that this guy speaks good words.
I agree with a lot of what he says because
I believe strongly in a lot of the same ideas about life and God.
He simply relates it and connects it all to Jesus and apostles.
I connect things based on my own history, ancestors, and experiences.
Is that what makes people different to the point
we can't agree on simple ideas that every culture in the world already knows.
I understand and know.
Maybe that is why Native people can most likely understand any religion we learn
because we understand that we are all people and God's or Creator's creations.
To me, I see that this whole Earth is Holy Land
because it is all God's creations and I believe
every person has been given a gift of life.
We are all the same in that respect.
What makes us different is our adaptations to the land we were placed upon
and how each person dealt with every experience given to them by the Creator.
It really is our attitude about circumstances that determine our life events. I feel like this dude preaching up there speaks of the same idea.
Every person on this earth can acknowledge
that this earth is a powerful place.
Whether we wish to separate ourselves from that power
or integrate ourselves to make that power a part of ourselves
is all up to us.
I think no matter when and where people have been in time and space,
there have been painful and negative experiences
as well as miracles and positive experiences.
Some people choose to only dwell on the bad
as they search and yearn for some shred of hope
on the horizon.
Praying for God to show them a sign.
When all they have to do is look inside
themselves.
and see the light that shines inside each and every one of us
because we are God's creations
and Creators too.
Some people like me sometimes forget that there are people grieving
depressed
and sad
because I'm so dang positive all the time as I think about them
and believe that they'll be alright
and not to worry about anything.
Some people believe hell is on Earth.
Some people believe life is a beautiful gift.
I think that since time and space began people have thought these same ways
They just used different languages and ideas to express them.
It'll never change.
Circumstances will always be painful and miraculous all at the same time.
The only thing that can ever really change is how we perceive life on this earth.
To feel grateful for this gift of life is to accept that everything that happens is for a reason and higher purpose to hopefully share
with others
as we learn from experiences
to teach our children.

Everything does happen for a reason, whether it is good or bad. Life is what it is and there is nothing we can do to change it.
