Has the World really learned?

Sometimes I wonder if the world has really learned much from its past. For some reason, the world just can not come together and cooperate to fight the problems of the world. While we are busy fighting something  that is not much of a threat to us, thousands of people die in Sudan of genocide. WHy can we not do anything about this problem? It is a huge problem. Anytime when this many people are dieing, the world should get together and stop it, yet nothing has happened. Instead we are all focused and to busy on hating each other becauseo f  what the other did to save some people's lives. At the same time, if we could work together, we probley could have figured out where the huge terrorists are and eliminated the threat saving thousands of lives. But it seems the world never learns from its mistakes. After all, we are once again making the same mistake we made in Vietnam in Iraq and the same mistake as in Korea.
