Im juss me, dont get me wrong, I'm definitely intelligent, and well spoken, but most times i jus wanna be myself.
I grew up in Brooklyn, n my words aren't always pronounced right, i dont always listen to censored music, and i may sometimes hate going to school, but is there anything wrong wit dat.
I do realize dat its not proper, i juss dont feel like im being myself wen i do change the way i act, and speak.
am i a bad person cause of the things i listen to?
hip hop is constantly thrown stones at cause of its language, and bad influences, but do the critics really no the ppl who their criticizing, or juss their lyrics.

If i were to walk dwn the streets of bed-stuy with bout 10 other ppl, a bit loud wearing jeans, sneakers, n large earing does that automatically mean Im "Ghetto"? No cause o could b the same gurl
walking down the streets of Manhattan by myself, dressed in professional clothes, and be well spoken.

This just goes to prove prejudice isn't have to define who you are. Dont change who u r, but juss no there is a time n a place for everything!

I am not from Brooklyn but I also don't listen to censored music and I never liked school. Censored music is annoying. Because it is like Beep word word beep word word. I am glad that you are happy to be yourself everyone should be.

There are some good thoughts here about prejudice, but I can't help but be a little prejudiced myself when I read the post. Good thoughts and intentions here, but the writing made it a little hard to read. But still, you've got the idea of progress in here--something that a good number of newer Progusers don't know how to do yet.
