Middle Income Now Supports Four Adults

The federal government has said that two middle-income adults make enough to send two children to college at the same time. While at the same time being able to put food on all the plates. How are two very hardworking parents supposed to support all four of them while at the same time they are just trying to provide the best education they can for their children? It’s not fair to them or their children. Because more then likely the children will enter the world in so much accumulated debt for all of their school loans!
The parents have struggled enough and have raised two children who became smart enough to get into great schools all over the country and then told they have to shell out 60,000 dollars a year just for tuition fees. The federal government has denied families like this all over the country any type of aid. How is that feasible at all? More then likely the children’s whose parents didn’t do anything at all get aid and then the children’s parents who worked get punished for all their hard work. That 60,000 dollars does not include meals, or even visits home, etc. Something needs to be changed. Yes, scholarships are an answer, but they can’t cover every single middle-income child out there trying to succeed in society by attending collage.

It's Calvinist isn't it, our current mess. Think any of the Democratic candidates have the political willpower to create a fair graduated income tax that would transform our post-secondary educations? Or do you think transforming our defense budget would do the trick?

Broadly, do you think investing in public education will lead to a more sustainable future and an informed electorate?

-Just some questions you provoked in my mind. Tag you're it.
