So who is really optimistic about Obama or Clinton winning. In reality they are splitting the Democartic votes of the people in this nation. Yes, all the press and publicity seems to be on what they say or don't say and what they do or don't do, but at the end of the day is all this action worthy of one of them actually been elected. ABSOLUTELY not! McCain will end up winning.Like I mentioned before the votes are too split, some Democrats are going to vore for Obma, others for Clinton. If either Obama or Clinton were running alone against McCain, they would actually have a pretty ood chance of winning. McCain's strategy seems to be working, keep himslef on the donw-low, let the democrats get all the press and at the end BAM! he will still reel up all the republican votes and take home the prize and then we will all face another four years under Republican rule and who knows what will happen. Gas will be 10 dollars, heath insurance will be non existent for everyone, education will no longer be availbalbe for the avergage joe, there will be war outbreaks every week and more atrocities. So I say, yes this elction IS a historical one, a women running and an African American running, BUT what would really be historical is if one of them ACTUALLY wins.
SO is it Obama vs. Clinton or is it Obama-Clinton vs. Mccain?

There is a good chance John McCain may not win, regardless of the Democratic nominee. I'm hoping he doesn't. I actually like him, but my stance on the war is the exact opposite of his. That is a top priority. Think about what our country could have done with that $505 TRILLION dollars...
Hillary has been the mudslinger in this campaign. If either of the candidates are dividing the Dems, it would be her. I've heard a lot of talk about Republicans voting for a Democratic president, but they are divided- some support Obama, and some support Clinton. I have yet to hear any democrat say they would vote republican if their candidate didn't win. I think it is the media splitting the votes a lot more than the candidates.
It'll be a while before we know who the Democratic candidate is. Don't listen to polls either. I don't think they have been more wrong since this election.

Whomever wins, it really doesn't matter. Since the majority of American people have a general consensus on almost every issue, each candidate also agrees with us. They are just saying anything to keep us happy and have our vote. It doesn't mean that they're going to carry out everything they say. You really think we're going to pull out of Iraq? Think again. Regardless if Obama or Hilary wins, the troops will stay. The media quieted after the surge of more troops in Iraq worked, now they shift attention to the "depression" that we're in. Whomever wins the election will just be another pawn in the game.

A president can only do so much. Congress has to back everything the president want s to do and vice versa.
I think the general consensus is that we want to get out of Iraq. Our government is supposed to work for us. As much as Congress has tried to get out of Iraq, Bush keeps vetoing any plans to do so.
