WHY DO MEN ALWAYS SEEM TO FEEL LIKE THEY ARE IN CHARGE!?!?!? WHY DO THEY HAVE THIS IMAGE IN THEIR HEADS AND ALL WOMEN HAVE TO BECOME IT OR BE CRITICIZED!

OKAY, SO AS IVE PROBABLY MENTIONED IN EVERYTHING THAT IVE WRITTEN, I'M BLACK AND I HAVE AN AFRO AND IT'S NOT A JERRY CURL OR ANYTHING STYLISH IT’S JUST AN AFRO. PEOPLE ALL THE TIME ASK ME, “WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?" “WHY DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR OFF?" “DIDN’T YOU HAVE BRAIDS A WHILE AGO?" "WHERE DID YOUR HAIR GO?" YOU GET THE POINT. WELL ONE GUY ASKED “WHY DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR OFF?" NOW I CAN DEAL WITH THAT BECAUSE I GET ASKED ALL THE TIME, BUT THE THING THAT SENT ME OVER THE EDGE IS THE FACT THAT HE SAID, “THAT’S NOT VERY LADYLIKE!" I MEAN WHERE DOES HE GET OFF TELLING ME WHATS LADYLIKE? DO I TELL HIM HOW TO ACT LIKE A MAN.? HE WAS JUST A GAS STATION ATTENDANT, NOT TO PUT DOWN GAS STATION ATTENDANTS, BECAUSE I AM ONE. BUT I NEVER SPEAK TO THIS GUY EXCEPT TO TELL HIM WHAT I WANT!!

so many men nowadays (NOT ALL) are trying to get women to get back in the kitchen and to get them back to the point where they have nothing to do except where an apron all day and say, " have a good day at work honey"

TOTALLY OFF SUBJECT, BUT THERE IS THIS SHOW CALLED "CASHMERE MAFIA" AND IT IS REALLY GOOD, ITS ABOUT FOUR FRIENDS WHO ARE REALLY SUCCESSFUL AND TRUE FOXES AND EVERYTHING. I HAVE HEARD MEN PUT THIS SHOW DOWN BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE WOMEN WANT TO WORK MORE AND NOT FUFILL THEIR BORN ROLES AS “HOMEMAKERS". IT HAS TAKEN ALL THE STRENGTH TO NOT KNOCK A MAN OUT BECAUSE OF THAT.

But anyway there are so many men (AGAIN NOT ALL OF THEM) that have been trying to get women into this IDEAL WOMAN FIGURE! I have been told that I have a nice butt, and all that stuff. But then they take it too far and say I need to have the nice flowing hair to top it off. There are plenty of beautiful women out there with short and even no hair whatsoever and people continue to judge them. I've been called a lesbian and bisexual and it was by a preacher, because of my short hair. I also have an athletic built body and people have just all of a sudden think that I work out or that i'm into girls. There is nothing wrong with that, why do I have to feel bad every time someone asks me about my hair? When I go somewhere people always ask me if I have a wig at home. Why do I have to have hair to be considered pretty? It’s stupid! BUT WHY DO WOMEN HAVE TO HAVE HAIR TO BEAUTIFUL?

I'm not black nor do i have short hair. lol. but i totally get where your comming from. It's like if you dont have one thing a guy wants, they're total idiots! idk but me growing up in ny, i saw many that over did it with their weave. Some you still saw their tracks and stuff like that. well let me get to the point because im getting off subject.lol. well I think beauty comes from within and guys are dumb not to accept that. Their ego is to high they always think they have to do "big manly things" to out do females and make us look useless which were not by the way! lol

well i just wanted to say you go out there, rock that fro of yours like theres no tomorrow, the summer's commin soon. it's gettin hotter. flaunt that athletic built body. Show your feminine side and just be you ya dig! and if they have a problem with it, tell 'em females could look great with short hair. i mean look at fatima or marvita from americas next top model. their gorgeous and they both have short hair! just go out there and do you, if they dont like you for you, they aint worth it!

Could you not yell in your posts please? Thanks

taylartw's picture

sorry if it seemed like i was yelling in my blogs but the things that i want people to look out for are the things in caps not to yell! but i will try my best to stop using the caps, my absolute best because im so used to writing that way!

Another option is using quotes (if somebody is speaking, of course) or italics. You do italics by typing "<" and ">" around the letter I where italics should start, and "" around the letter I to stop using italics. I'm sorry if that was confusing but if I wrote it out normally it would have put my comment in italics!

Actually, I think it's kinda ironic that you "yell" in your posts. Your profile picture is Stewie afterall...

But still, you will want to avoid the All-Caps method. It really turns off a reader.

meh, the caps aren't that big of a deal, just a little hard on the eyes.
It gets a little better as you become older and are around more mature men, but the same stigma is still there. It's almost like guys want this perfect model-woman who will fall in love with a slouchy, unkept bum. It makes no sense to me.
