One of my co-workers came in with a book called "Skinny Bitch." It sounded pretty interesting, so being me I definitely had to ask what the book was about. So basically she summed it as a diet book ex. skinny= healthy, fat- = unhealthy. Yeah, you pretty much get the point.
I went out and got the book, no I don’t think imp fat or anything; I just feel I have the need to get more tone. So basically, imp like in the first few chapters. So far I read that pretty much every single thing you drink is horrible for you and the best way to go is water. ICK! Water is so boring tasting to me. And then you read about all the animals that are abused while in the process to feed America. I mean come on, imp not a vegetarian but reading that one part makes me want to be one
Did you know they would skin animals alive when there suppose to be dead? So they feel their skin being ripped from them. Also, they bleed to death and stuff. Hey, did you know that they hang chickens and stuff... And when they fall from the line they land in some icky stuff like unwanted disease parts, or vomit from someone working there, better yet chewing tobacco, roaches and feces. ick! And to top it off, they just get put back in line like nothing happened. Totally gross. And pretty much your hurting yourself with steriods. They knock up the animals with steriods to make them bigger just for the profit
So that pretty much sums up what I read so far. You are what you eat... With that all said, drink water, and stay away from meat. Well I’ll probably write more about this or something

I absolutely agree with you. People who go on diets by drinking only water instead puts the body into starvation mode, increasing the amount of fat stored. Bad idea.
try reading Fast Food Nation, i think you'll like it if you like that one.
Just remember that toned muscle isn't all up to food on it's own, you also need to exercise, and look up hydrogenated oils, those are really common and bad for us.

Thanks, that book was kind of grossin me out. lol
Yes it doesn't sound exciting to only drink water all the time, but I do. I absolutely love water. It is always so refreshing and thirst quenching. On occasion I will have ice tea or lemonade even milk but I really just love water. The whole thing about dirty food though, like the chickens, isn't going to necessarily be true for every company. I wouldn't really worry too much about that.
Fast Food nation is a great book! It still might not make you want fast food though.
That is why you eat free range organic meat that hasn't been tampered with. It is put down humanely and it doesn't have any steroids or what not in ti.
That's what my partner and I eat, and she was VEGAN a year ago! She had been vegan for almost ten years, then she read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan (a really good book, and not gross at all, ladyunique) and "The Ethical Gourmet" by I don't remember, and she completely changed her outlook on the most ethical and healthy way to eat!

Vegetarian here, but you make a good point. My kids and husband aren't vegetarian, so I buy them free range and organic stuff. I don't feel as bad buying it, but I still don't like it. :( It's definitely a better option, though.
Water is so important! There's no need to dump sugar and acidic stuff into your beautiful bod! Water is life.

A lot of people like to say "Go organic" because it is the best way. They say other foods are processed badly and injected with crap. They say the animals are killed cruely just to get nourishment. Well here is a wake up call. People , organic food may be made the same way . Only difference is that they will try to make it taste different. We only know what people and the news tells us. But the only people that know the truth is the people making the food. No I don't down people for eating organic food. I applause them. I applause people for eating healthy . But before there was organic food , all we at was basic food. You still see we are all alive right? Good write. :-B
I second this opinion.
Organic foods are crap. Eat local.
Organic doesn't mean taste differently though. Albeit some does, but the organic stuff I buy is from the Farmer's Market and from companies that I know don't put anything into their food or coat it with pesticides. But you do have to be careful though because I don't trust the FDA testers so I'm careful about store bought foods.
We are living alright, but people who eat vegetarianist or eat Mediterranean and Pacific Diets, tend to live longer than those who eat the foods we eat in the United States.
