Tobit

I'd like to blog on how tremendously my time budgeting has improved, but that post will be... postponed.. BUT it will happen eventually, fasho. Even if I did try to type it out, it'd be more or less bogus *wince* and therefore, apocryphal. Because. That is a new word I so happen to like. I like them both, their sounds, I mean.

Mr. G, my english teacher, spoke of the Bible today, and how it was put together. I quote:

"This is gonna to disappoint you guys. A group of old religious men actually gathered together and voted on which books were going to be included in the Bible. The books that they didn't like were just voted away. Some even by one vote. Each and every book that didn't make it into the Bible, they decided to declared apocryphal. (more verbiage)"

I was kinda like "eh" but he went on some more and said that "Tobias" was supposed to be the 5th book of the Bible but was voted out or something.. and so I WIKI-ed it. It actually was a book, and it is actually labeled "apocryphal" and now I have a lot of re-reading of my SST "The Bible" book to do. That's the thing with seeking facts + some truth. So much self-imposed homework involved. So, I guess here's a REMINDER for me.

If anybody is further informed than I am, I'm open to hear what you know.

Hmm, so, I'm actually glad that you're finding some truth. There is a lot of truth in this, there were a lot of books of the Bible just voted out and poof gone! Some men just sat around, discussed which books they wanted in and got rid of the rest. However, there is one part of this post I have a problem with, the "I wiki-ed it" part. Wiki, is only semi-reliable. I could get on and write that I was a half-vampire goddes queen if I wanted to. It probably wouldn't stay on for long, but the point is anyone can write anything. You should use a library or other reliable sources to check things out. Wiki is a good starting point, but not a good ONLY point.
