Iraq is comparable to Vietnam

Iraq has become a war that is comparable to the Vietnam war. It seems just about unachieveable. IT was not in our interest to really attack Iraq, Saddam was just as threatened as us by the terrorists because they did not want him in power. There is no reason that he would have helped them and there was no evidence he was helping them.

It parallels Vietnam because no matter how many troops we send in, the people oppose us. with every troop sent more people join the side of hte teorrorists. As long as we occupy them, they will oppose us and it is an unwinnable situation, just like Vietnam was.

The difference is that we have made Iraq worse. They do not have plumbing or electricity anymore, and there have been tons of civilian deaths. The state is now also in a state of civil war, a civil war we instigated.

The question is how many people are we willing to kill as opposed to how many they are. I believe they will always be more willing to die because it is their home. THe United States must give up sooner or later.

very spoken of secret....they planned it out to be a cilvil war, years ago....to make money from it. (shhhh) don't tell the men in black that I said this, they might take me away.

You seem so intent that "giving up sooner or later" is a good thing and that simply appalls me from the standpoint of a proud American. We should never be "ok" with defeat, especially when our current strategy has us on the way to victory.
