Hello Progreesive U.
Hello Congressperson:
If you go forward with National Funeral Directors and Mortician day you will raise funeral cost in the land. You will bury a Scandal, The IFDA Preneed Trust Mismanagement Scandal. (IFDA=Illinois Funeral Directors Association)

This is the Rest in peace's note to to Charlie Wilson: (Note NFDA=National Funeral Directors Association.)

"To: Congressman Charlie Wilson (D-OH), NFDA member, please STOP sending the letter below to all your colleagues in the United States House of Representatives. All NFDA members are urging members to go to Congress at a click and send their Representative the prewritten e-mail urging them to co-sponsor H. Res. 892 and support its passage."

This is Rep.Charlie Wilson Democrat-Ohio's Letter Circulated in the US Congress:

"Honor the Funeral Directors that Serve Your Communities Co-Sponsor H. Res. 892

Dear Colleague:

Recently, I introduced legislation that would demonstrate Congress support for National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day. As a lifelong funeral director, I know first hand the important role that funerals play in helping bereaved families cope with the grief that follows the death of a loved one.

Behind every smoothly-run funeral is a great deal of difficult and often unglamorous work. Funeral directors are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and must be ready to collect the remains of a recently deceased person on a moment’s notice. This naturally takes a toll on the lives of their families, but by their commitment, funeral directors provide families with peace of mind and allow them to focus on the grieving process.

In addition to the service that they provide, funeral directors are taking a leading role in planning for potential disasters like a pandemic flu outbreak. Without planning, large numbers of infectious bodies could quickly overwhelm public health authorities’ capabilities and pose a serious threat to survivors. Funeral directors will be among the first Americans called upon to respond to such a disaster, if one arises, and for their sacrifices and bravery, they deserve our thanks.

With that in mind, I have introduced H. Res. 892, which recognizes March 11, 2008 as National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day. This resolution honors the hard work and sacrifices made by funeral directors in every congressional district across the United States. To cosponsor this important legislation, please contact Dan Craig in my office at 202-225-5705 or dan.craig@mail.house.gov.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Charlie Wilson

Member of Congress

Now Congressman Charlie Wilson has requested A National Funeral Director and Morticians Day in the middle of a National Funeral Scandal (40 Million USD)concerning the IFDA.

The IFDA Continues to ask for their National Funeral Director’s Day in spite of their Scandal! Most IFDA members are members of the NFDA.

What were you thinking Congressman Wilson? or More politely What were you smoking?

Mr or Mrs Congressman please do not join Charlie Wilson and support H Res 892.

It appears that Congressmen and Funeral Directors need a little bit of education about preneed trusts. Maybe they need to purchase a few books at amazon.

I have sent the note above to Congressman Charlie Wilson who proposed this legislation!

Should the United States Congress support National Funeral Directors and Mortician Day? Should Congress not investigate a 40 Million trust Fund Deficit at the IFDA?
Should the United States Congress continue to allow Funeral Directors to misuse and sometimes steal death money?

Hope not.
Rest in Peace.

What about National Researchers Day, or National Waitress/Waiter day, or national Bookshelfmaker day? I loathe the idea of creating days for certain occupations that have no true, physical sacrifice during day-to day work. Veterans Day- Sure, that sounds good. Police Officers/Firefighters-absolutely. Funeral Directors- now that's taking things a little too far.
And by preparing for pandemic, I assume this guy means he's preparing to PROFIT from the pandemic. The healthcare professionals, CDC employees, and people developing vaccines are the ones that are truly preparing for these disasters, day in and day out.

preparing to profit from this national funeral directors day, he is against it.

Many Funeral Directors are preparing to prosper from National Funeral Directors Day.
Specifically members of the National Funeral Directors Association(NFDA) and the IFDA.
and Congressman Charlie Wilson as well.

I'm a little confused. How does instating a National Funeral Director's day raise funeral costs?

And hey, if we can't get you an official day, let's start makingunofficial occupation days!

Making a National Funeral Directors day raises Funeral cost?
Short answer: most funeral directors try to get you to pay at least twice.

Long answer:

The NFDA the sponsor of National Funeral Directors day.... has a policy of getting The citizen to pay twice for the funeral...

For example if you were to go to a funeral home with your parents and prepay a funeral today(as they truly recommend at most funeral homes) you would lose all the interest on the money you gave the funeral home It goes to the funeral insurance company and the funeral director.

Then because of fine points in the contract many funeral costs are not covered by the contract. So you pay twice and they get interest on your money!

And even after this funeral directors, funeral home owners, funeral corporations run off with the money almost monthly: a posts at progessive u..

Rest in peace says making funeral directors unofficial is a great idea and rest in peace is a funeral director!!!
