As I sit here today, I reflect on all the things I have feared in my life. I'm not talking about the boggie man, but instead of very real life changing events. I realize that I have spent most of my life preparing for the future. Which I realized is ridiculous because the day I strive for, will be as long as the one I'm living today. The only difference between the days are, that when or if I finally make it to wherever I'm heading, I won't be able to relive those days that are already gone.
I know too many people, including myself don't realize that every breath you take, is one closer to when you cease to exist. No matter who you are, everyone fears what happens when the clock hits zero. Some people's answer to this is religion, others simply act not afraid of no longer being. Whatever your stand is on that topic, I believe you should deeply consider how you live your life.
I hope that by the time you are facing the final hours of your life, that you can revisit all the happy moments in your life. I hope that there is nothing left unfulfilled in your life, and that you spent your life dedicated to your passions. That you always stayed true to yourself, in the light of any situation, and that you fought as little as you could.
I know that I'm only the ripe age of 18, but all the pain I have seen people go through for no single reason other than piety differences has prompted me to write this blog. I have a girlfriend currently & everyday I see her go through pain because of all the hurt her mother has caused her. Her mother treats her horrible, for no reason other than her mother being unsatisfied with the way she has lived her own life. Every night I hear about another fight, and it just kills me, because life is to short to fight like this.
The truth is people in this world attribute happiness with material possessions & let their lives and personal beliefs, be affected in such significant ways, due to nothing other than greed. If happiness is a material possession, and not another person I suggest you reflect on life & what you want yours to be. Cause hopefully in those minutes before you pass on from this earth & go somewhere else, you'll be surrounded by those who you love.
I can tell you that when I die, I want to remember and be remembered not for wealth, but instead the unconditional love I provided everyday to those who always expressed it to me, because that my friends is the real lottery to win in life.
Why not live life like you want to?

It sounds like you are really in touch with yourself! I think people focus too much on stuff, too. I try not to, and I think I do a really good job with the exception of clothing. It's not the center of my life or anything, but I could cut back there.
Great blog! It was well written, interesting, and honest.
