Are we accepting the limitations that the government is setting for us?

As a person born into this "Era of Terrorism", I am happy with the some of the laws that the government created to protect the American people, but I have noticed that there are certain things that I feel uncomfortable with. The amount of cameras that are set around my block is unbelievable! I get this creepy feeling every time I walk down my street just to get some snack from store since there are about 5 cameras staring at me. (I'm sweating bullets just remember them!)
I know that people argue that I shouldn’t’t worry about anything unless I do anything wrong, but when have become so accepting of technologies that invade our privacy? A community would be up in arms if the police had the chance to enter into their homes without search warrants, yet we do not even think twice about these video cameras that record our every move. We manage to go on with our lives without giving this issue a single thought. Half the time when we see a camera, we are unaffected by them since we have become accustomed to them popping up at any single moment.
How do you feel about this issue?
