Vicent Van Gogh is one of my favorite painters because he uses thick strokes in his paintings that, to me, make the paintings seem almost alive. I personally have three replica paintings of his in my home, the "Starry Night", the "Lilies," and "The Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum." Though they are not the originals my replicas' are a joy to see in my home. I love how his paintings speak out to me and make me feel as though I can be there in the painting. Growing up he was always one of my favorites. In grade school one of my teachers had us immitate his "Sunflower" painting and that was just a blast for my to do. Though art is not my major I love looking at paintings, drawings, sculptures, etc... and I appreciate how the artist try to get his or her message or vision across. This website is not one of the best about Vicent Van Gogh but it does have several of his well known works that you can take a look at. Enjoy!

but my favorite painters have to be Diego Rivera (LOVE the Detroit Industy murals), and Pablo Picasso (Les Demoiselles D'Avignon is unbelievable!)
