So progress is an advancement. Whether it be through society or personal relations, progress can always be made.

Standing at an evident four foot nine, many people have asked me what I would like to do whe I get out of college and are stunned by response of geneic engineer. Needless to say, standing behind a counter as tall as you working at a bar b que place is not my ideal way of acheiving that goal.

I asked my mom what she wanted for her birthday (which was Friday) and she said she just wanted to see me go off to college and live a good life. Hopefully, as a genetic engineer, I can not only help myself, but others as well. My goal is to help work on cloning humans for better organ transplants. I figure if one's own genes can make the organ, then there won't be any rejection in the body and no after care medication to fool the body into thinking that is the person's original organ. With this, many people will not have to continuously suffer from cancer, disease and death from various accidents because there will not have to be any waiting lists. The main problem I forsee is the time it will take to develop the technology and how quickly it can be instilled into society. All I have to say is that I'd better be involved!

That's really cool. As I understand it, organ transplants grown from cloned cells have a lot of promise in medicine. Genetic engineering is the way to go. Good luck to you.

(if you can't see the fnords they won't eat you)

I hope everything works out the best for you!!! :)
