Ignorance and Racism

Ignorance, is what I am going to start this blog with.  Michael Richard's rant about black people during his performance at the Los Angeles' Laugh Factory is one of the most ignorant displays of racial hatred I have seen.  As a response to two black Americans 'interrupting' his performance he starts, "Fifty Years ago we'd have you upside down with a fucking fork up your ass."  And continues for about five minutes on his racial tirade.

First problem, there is no justifiable reason for Michael Richard to response to the two audience members that way.  No matter if they were jumping up and down singing songs.  Within the realm of live performances one most expect everything, and sometimes the audience doesn't think it is funny, they might get a little rudy, this is a common happening among live stage performances.  I know from experience, I am a theatre major, and no matter what happens in the audience, or the audience reaction one must maintain their cool.

Second problem, attacking their race rather than the individual behavior is inexcusable.  Why could you not just attack them individually rather than racially?  This is a prime example of racism.  When the first thing to comes to a person mind in response to criticism is a racial slur.  WHITE PEOPLE CANNOT USE NIGGA, NEGRO, NIGGER, or any other way of saying the word.  It does not matter that blacks use it, because it does not have the same connotation it has when a white person uses it.  It implies slavery, raping, killing of blacks when a white person uses it.  IT AINT FUNNY.  Yes, there is a double standard where blacks can use white racial slurs, but it is a result of the dominate position whites have in American society.  And those that are not dominate do not oppress the dominate culture with words as those who are dominate do with words. The words when used by a dominate culture are able to assume action.  If I am trying to get a job in a white dominated business (most by far).  Having my white boss going around calling me nigga, negro, or nigger(meaning ignorant) is not going to be conducive to me getting a job, or wanting one. Consequently, whites should not go around saying racial slurs, because these slurs are a result of the treatment of blacks for 400 years.  The white slurs are a result of the using of black slurs.

Third problem, if he only used nigger than it might have been okay.(wouldn't recommend testing this)  But, Michael Richard goes into a racial tirade about the history of blacks.  That's the main problem!  This is beyond accidental it is meant to degrade human beings that have been degraded enough through history.  We don't need a history lessons of the position of blacks fifty years ago.  This is what is meant by blacks always saying racism still exist.  It does, need another wake-up call?  People tell blacks they should get over slavery, remember it has only been "fifty" years since we had even close to the same rights as whites.  I tell people who think blacks should get over slavery, we will get over slavery as soon as you get over skin color...

Richard's tirade was absolutely inescusable. I agree. However, on allowing black people to use white racial slurs.

No, sorry not allowed. This is not about dominance, this about respect. All human beings deserve respect. No person, regardless of skin color who is not my friend gets to use racial slurs with me. I don't care about your history, you want respect? Don't call me whitey, kracker, honky or pale face. I do know what those mean, and I will get just as pissed off as you would if I used a racial slur with you. No racial slur among strangers is acceptable.

I say strangers because among friends things can obviously operate on a non-violent bias, and a bit of good natured teasing is part of hanging out for most people. If my friend calls me a filthy kraut, and I am perfectly allowed to call her a wetback wop, then all is well. But don't expect me to take whitey or kracker off of every black guy I meet just because people with my skin color enslaved people with your skin color.

Racism does still exist, everywhere, in every race.

Racism is being sustained because of parental and schooling education.

Most white people, although it is changing, fear the thought of being relate to coloured people in what ever way thinkable.

Still today many fear to have there daughter coming home saying she is dating Mr. Brown.
Only the thought of it, freaks out parents instantly!
Mr. Brown might end up in there bloodline and affect there imaginary status and ego they are so despaired to hold on to.

It is socially enforced on any individual youngster while passing it’s way trough puberty.
Most white youngster (especially boys) can not relate to see a collared person happily walking down the street with a white girl simply because they hate it. They relate to it as being a personal attack on there own sexuality, which because of there puberty they already have difficulty to express themselves.

If this girl happens to be blond and gorgeous on top of that there stomach begins to burn with disgust, waking up that seed of hate in order to nourish it more by venting there frustration in various forms of aggression in there surroundings.

There sexual frustration can not cope with that because deep inside they carry build in assumptions that coloured people have no right to share there love with white girls.

The most effective form of venting hateful aggression is of course the verbal way, allowing any of those hateful individuals to use it with discretion when the time seems right for no one to whiteness and endure but it’s victim.

A 12 year old watching television with mum and dad who are both expressing there negative emotions upon collared people that appear on screen, will make there kid to assume this is absolutely normal behaviour and copy those actions, in order to act accordingly and therefore generalize all collared people to the same negative emotion.

All racism issues are related to education and the way elderly opinions are reflected upon youngsters leaving that word “RESPECT” a subject better to be left an other subject of discussion.

Most collared people know what respect means, they know it but to well, well enough to know that it has always been a “hoax” in regard to there freedom and social acceptance that surrounds there daily lives being collared.

Arnold and the Cosby show have helped white people to peak inside collared peoples lives and therefore helped and changed some of the assumptions they carried within.

Those and other series have opened some mental doors to learn and familiarise more positive ways in relation to collared people.

The biggest problem still today is the fact that many collared individuals having to go trough this struggle of hateful non acceptance during there puberty can not always deal with the emotions that are related to that. Making them unable to focus on there proper education in order to get good grades in school simply because they are not prepared and even worse not guided to handle these misfortunes that are laid upon them on a daily basis by there surroundings.

The reason for this lack of guidance is because people don’t address the source of it, therefore always come up with the same excuses while harm is being done or pushed upon collared.

They are not all like that!
Don’t mind what those people say!
There is good in some people to!
Don’t let your emotions get affected by what has happened!
Better days will come!
They don’t mean what they said!
There is nothing wrong with your colour!
It used to be worse, get over it!
It will get better when your older!

All rubbish,

If one doesn’t get to learn how to handle these misfortunes, they become sick!

One that is sick, starts to become just like the one’s that projected and fired all of there frustrations upon collared.
One becomes just like them unaware of the consequences this might imply in doing so.

It is on the other hand easy to solve this constant form of humiliation,
