Where’s Our Money Going

I was working one day and noticed that they changed the five dollar bill. I thought to myself, “This is pretty cool.” Then I realized that there was no need to change it, that’s just a waste of money. I asked a customer if he seen the new five dollar bill. He said, “Yes. I told him that I felt that it was a waste of money. He laughed in agreement. If our countries in a recession, why are we spending money on things that wont benefit us? Shouldn’t our government be investing in something that we will benefit from? We could have used that money to help the education status in America. We could’ve even used that money to invest in job opportunities. Why didn’t we? Why don’t we question the government? Some people say that it’s wrong to question the government. In all reality if we didn’t question our government, we would have never became a country. i was told that there wasn't going to be a lot of bright colored shirts made because we are in a recession, so why did our government put purple,an expensive color to print on the new five. in my opinion its a waste of money.

counterfeit money hurts the economy too, and I hear fives are the new twenties in the fake bill manufacturing world. This will just make it a little harder to print your own currency.

but before this dollar, we were able to spot counterfeit money. we didn't need to change it there were more important issues than counterfeit money like education.

Counterfeit money hurts the economy; much like just printing more money it leads to more inflation.

The reason why we did need to change the $5 bill was because technology is changing so it is becoming easier to counterfeit money... And it is getting easier to make convincing counterfeit bills. They can change hands several times, and only get caught when they go to the bank. Or worse, the Fed.
