ALWAYS be Thankful.

All of us are fortunate.

We live in the best time there has ever been to be alive.
We have access the greatest learning and communication tool the world has ever known, and almost all of us remember when no one had it. The youngest of us are not unlikely to see the day when EVERY person on the planet has access to all of humanity’s learning.
We enjoy greater wealth than any generation before us.
We have better heath, and can expect to live longer than any of our ancestors.
We are freer to live as we choose with out persecution than at any previous time.

All of this and the rate of improvement is actually accelerating.

Thankfulness is an attitude, not a reaction to your surroundings and circumstances. That makes it a choice as well.

All of us know people that wallow in self-pity or worry. I would even go so far as to say that it is a human instinct to look for trouble around every corner. Like other valuable survival instincts, such as flee or fight adrenalin, the ability to overcome it is better in the modern world, than allowing it to rule your outlook.

Action to improve the things that are still wrong with our world is most often a result of hope and optimism that you can achieve what you set out to do.

This advice is superfluous when everything is going your way. It actually becomes most important when you are faced with the worst disasters. Far too many have folded up and died, or even committed suicide when they saw no hope. Far too few have gladly faced impossible odds and triumphed.

“If it can be conceived and believed it can be achieved”

you are absolutly right
the people who think that way go so much farther than the ones who do not
i try to think that way but i guess i do not entirely so in will try to

the ending paragraph seemed very thought out.
well the whole writing did also, now that i think of it.
i agree with you on a lot of the points also.
it was a good thing to write about.
myself for one always has a hard time being thankful for what i do have.
