Joe DiMaggio the deceased baseball great is often remembered as the funeral flower guy.He put flowers on Marilyn Monroe's Grave every year he was alive after Marilyn's death. These funeral flowers cost Joe quite a sum over the years.
The Reasons are not known and the speculation goes on as to why DiMaggio did this.
One thing is certain he had more respect for the dead, death and dying than most people
including Funeral Directors have today. The ones guilty as charged with this is the Funeral Directors in Illinois who managed the IFDA trust fund.
In th IFDA trust scandal Mark Twain would agree the Fund Managers at the IFDA thought they were not the persons involved.
But they were the ones lost 40,000.000 dollars of the old folks money in the State of Illinois. In 2008 the Scandal was made public in a letter sent to restinpeace, your funeral guy., R Brian Burkhardt
As promised here are some specifics from the letter.
The IFDA, Illinois Funeral Directors Association, sent out a Press kit to the Membership on how to deal with the 40 Million Trust Deficit in “The IFDA Preneed Trust."
In the letter it is stated:
"The Comptroller of the State of Illinois removed the License of the IFDA as the Trustee".
The letter gives this Q and A.
"Q. What is the current Preneed /Trust fund deficit?
A. This is a complex issue. simply put: the tax exempt preneed trust fund has a deficit of $40 Million."

The IFDA is very lucky here. I do not look like Marilyn Monroe, I cannot hit home runs like Joe DiMaggio. I do not write like Mark Twain.
