Two days ago, I was chatting online with a close friend of mine and she starts spouting nuggets about me being a Libra from the first web page listed when you search the word "LIBRA" on google.
I've read tons of horoscopes in my lifetime, being an adolescent girl who is generally interested in "learning" about myself and what fate holds for me, and one would find a few relevancies and truths in them because they are generally filled with vague descriptions that are meant to apply to a mass number of people. This horoscope page, however, that she showed me...I was just astonished. I may be one to get excited over the simple nuances in life, but HONESTLY that LIBRA page was practically a spot-on description of me.
Of course there are a few minor details that aren't necessarily true, but practically almost of it is true...at least from my perspective because generally you may view yourself a certain way, but then people see different sides of you. Generally though, your impression of yourself is what other people usually see.
I enjoy horoscopes because they tell me what I already know, or rather what I think I know. I have these ideas and impressions in my head, but horoscopes just spell it out for you. It reassures you of your character and warns you of how to avoid certain faults typical of someone of your character.
Diplomaitic and urbane
Romantic and charming
Easygoing and sociable
Idealistic and peaceable
Generally theses traits sum up a LIBRA are the characteristics I would like to believe I already possess, but that's up to others. You know how when you're young, you might think about what sort of superpower would be best to have? The ultimate superpower that I thought would be most useful would be mind reading. So that I knew exactly what others were thinking and could anticipate their actions and coordinate proper reactions...but then with age I came to realize, it is probably best that one doesn't know what others think.
One honestly shouldn't shape their views and actions based on others. It's good to be considerate and empathic about others perspectives and opinions, but one should be keen on their own ideals and wisely choose the best methods to develop and mature.
