Humbly, I believe that God has granted to mankind the instrument of prayer without which the human is not in a position to use fully his or her capabilities. To me, to get prayer answered, one believe God is All Powerful. A house where people pray is never destroyed. To live in harmony and to see peace in our homes prayers is the way. Remembering God, all the times, we can be sure that God will never forget us. We need to remember our loved ones in our prayers.

Prayer for parents:

Prayer for spouses and children:

There are some really great chinese websites that allow you to go at your own pace. I would recommend chinesepod.com since they focus a lot of all skill levels.
Pinyin is the system that's been in place for some time that uses the letters of the English alphabet to represent Chinese phonetics. "Ni hao" and "Xie xie" are in Pinyin rather than Chinese characters. So, it easier to learn Chinese when you pair your study with the pinyins.
Is this what you means by alphabet based? Otherwise, I can't think of a way to make a purely Chinese alphabet. There are smaller pieces of characters that you can use to understand the larger system, but it's not like an alphabet. Chinese just doesn't work like that.
The things I love about my life right now, are not specific to China. I could create this situation I have here in America. However, I love the economy. It's so cheap to live here comfortably if you have a decent paying job.
My least favorite is transportation. Walking, taking taxis and public transportation can be a struggle, but most of the time it's ok.
