I'm not quite sure when some of these girls decided that morals and personal value weren't things that should be considered. I see it all the time. I see girls messing with one guy and then kissing the next. We go to parties and they hook up with different guys from the same clique. Then the next weekend we're at another party and they're telling me about how the went with/hooked up with/messed with another guy. It personally sickens the shxt out of me!
Ok, I know what you're probably thinking. I'm "prude" and because I just don't mess around with people, I'm trying to get on those that do. But truthfully that's not the case at all. I will admit that I don't "mess around" with people unless I am in a relationship with them, but it's not because I'm "prude." Truthfully, I just dont want to be another girl on someone's roster. I don't want people to have a story to tell about me when my name is mentioned.
I mean, I'm not completely disgusted with people who decide to hook up with other people all the time. I'm still friends with these type of people and I'm sure that that's the typical teenage routine in some people's eyes. I just want no parts of it. Personally I think that it proves that you don't value yourself if you're so willing to mess around with people all the time.
Also, I think the most pitiful excuse for these type of actions is alcohol. I actually chuckle a little when people say "oh I was drunk." C'mon.. spare me.
I'm not trying to offend anyone. If these actions are familiar to you, don't take it personally. I just don't think that it's ok to go hooking up with people and especially when you slap excuses on your actions when all is said and done. I also think that people should consider the NASTY & DISGUSTING diseases that come along with hooking up with people. EWWWWWWWWW !

I personally find it rather sad, not to mention disturbing, that teenagers and young adults find it acceptable to hook up with so many different people. I wasn't chaste during high school, but I wasn't skipping from person to person either. Kids really do need to consider the diseases they can get (and give). And we really need to be educating these kids not only on the diseases and the risks, but on safe sex practices as well. Instead, we waste money on abstinence only education programs that do not work.
Pitiful.

Stuff like this should be said in a way that it just about hurts others, because sometimes that's the only way you will get through their thick skulls, that this kind of stuff isn't so cool.

It's ztunning how ignorant many young adults are these days. With the lack of any proper sex education system, it's almost a garuntee that most young adults will end up having to learn through their mistakes, which, in some cases, can end up being deadly.
Why is it that people insist that if you give young people condoms, or birth control, or even simply knowledge that you are "encouraging" them to have sex?
On top of this, the most shocking thing I have discovered is that many people don't realize that just because you didn't have sex doesn't mean that you weren't exposed to STD's, not to mention other things such as Mono and the common cold(which whie not deadly is always such a BLAST to have...).
Hate to break it to you, those of you who did not know, but yes, you can contract certian "sexually" transmitted infections through just plain old kissing. So trust the person you're kissing/fooling around with, or at least take the time to know whether they tested clean or not. It's basic... well... not common sense otherwise more would do it, but it's one of the simplest and easiest ways to keep yourself safe.
Here, I'll even tell you what to say:
"Wait. Before this goes any futher, I have to know, have you been tested?"
If they take offense, odds are, you shouldn't be messing around with them anyways.

Every year we get Sex Ed. drilled into our heads at my school and still kids go around hooking up and catching diseases, getting pregnant and dropping out out of shame or obligation (pregnant women over 8 months must go to an alternative school called New Futures where they not only get a high school education, but they incorporate maternal skills into their curriculum)...anyway back on subject, my point is that no matter how much we're told 'don't have sex until you're with someone special and if you do, use a condom because birth control only protects against pregnancy' we still don't get it. I'm called a whore at my school because I fall in love easily and I fall hard, but I've only been with four guys and those were serious relationships (except the first one). But the girls who liyah was talking about don't get called anything. Only the girls at my school are worse. They actually get pregnant and can't tell who the father is but don't care and then have an abortion only for it to happen again about four months later....yeah and I'M the slut??? Sorry little rant....:D

Yes but just because students don't pay attention to the curriculm doesn't mean it shouldn't be there or isn't helping. YOu just don't hear about the kids who DIDN'T get pregnant cause they had access to condoms or didn't get a disease because they had learned how to be safe.
The success is silent, but it's still there.
I never said high school (and many college students) weren't stupid. (and I don't mean that as all you other people, I was totally a dumb HS student. Almost everyone is in some way. You're too young to not be.)

I never said it shouldn't be there at all. I understand that it DOES wake some people up. I was replying to the 'lack of proper sexual education' comment that was before mine. The sex ed. is usually a video that we watch in homeroom that we take a test on later. If we don't pass the test, then we have to watch it until we pass it with a B or better. The curriculum part was about the ALTERNATIVE high school which is designed SPECIFICALLY for teen mothers. I wasn't talking about my high school if that was what you were thinking. We HAVE to pay attention to the video in order to get our schedules and I.D.'s for the year.

Personally I think it proves that they love to get boned, but that's just my take on it.

lol .. wtf? ew.
Maybe if they were showed photos of STI's or videos of teen parents who show what their life is like with a baby...?
Phoenixes are superb. They are also fictional beings..but that isn't the point!
