What's with all the bomb's

It seems to me that recently the entire world has gone nuclear crazy. Everyone from the BBC to the Nation of Islam’s poster-child Louis Farrakhan in his recent Saviour’s Day event have given attention to the questions of whether or not Iran should be allowed to pursue Nuclear technology.

The division of ideas is so large on this issue that I’m not even going to try and span them all. The more I hear about it the more I want to ask why people focus so much on the ability to build bombs. I’ve read and listened to twenty or thirty interviews and specials on this issue and all these people seem to simply be giving anybody who wanted to make an atomic bomb the proper information on how to go about it.

We might as well hand out little books to Iranian Children labeled “how to blow stuff up” it will show them how to take a small clump of Uranium and turn it into a highly deadly, if not sophisticated, birthday present.

This is another example of how media can take a subject and turn it from bad to worse. Never interview a man that works for a think-tank about how he thinks Iran would be able to use nuclear technology. If they were smart the Iranian government would subscribe to one of the BBC’s many podcasts on the issue and take notes.

Now that I have that out of my system I will leave you with a thought from the venerable leader of the NOI Louis Farrakhan. “Iran has the right. You cannot deny Iran access to knowledge."

-But we can deny them food-
