Immigration Debate

Tagged:

Now we all know what's been happening for the past few weeks in the US.  President Bush said he was trying to get new legislation passed that would force illegal immigrants (the illegal ones being largely hispanic or mexican) to return to their home countries and/or be arrested for living in the US illegally.  This was met with protests in LA and other large gatherings of protest and demonstrations around the country.

Now comes my question:
Can anyone honestly give me a good reason why illegal immigrants feel they have the right not be arrested for living the US? Don't all other US citizens have to follow restriction for things that are illegal? Does the word illegal mean anything to illegal immigrants inthe first place?

Well, some can see this as cruel. I am pretty sure that the US loves to use these people to do hard labor *cough* *cough* "Rebuild New Orelans for cheap. Then expect them to leave. If they know about it, and do nothing, than what are they thinking? The US should have the guts and stand up: Stop using them, than perhaps tell them to leave
2). Let them work
And anyways, it is IMPOSSIBLE to kick them all out, and too costly

To them, it means its only illegal if they get caught. You should write a longer blog because that wasn't much of a debate.
