So last night I was lying in bed suffering from yet another night of insomnia. The thousands of thoughts that run through my head at night never let me sleep. So while I was lying there, I began thinking about how wonderful the world would be if everyone had an adequte home to live in, with enough food and water to their satisfaction. How great it would be if diseases became a thing of the past; how nice it would be if the earth was in perfect condition with an abundance of animals and natural resources. I've always wanted to help make the world a better place. Then I thought of something else...I believe that while our fates vary and we don't all serve the same purpose in life, the common one that we share is making the world a better place. But what happens when the world is a better place? What happens if the world is a perfect place without violence and complete peace and harmony amongst all countries of the world?
I tried but I could not imagine the world ever coming to that state. And if someday in the far future, it did become perfect, what would happen? Would the world just blow up? Is that the turning point into the day the world would end? How could we live in a perfect would? We would stop progressing because we would have progressed as far as possible. Would we just rot in our false happiness and perfection?
I'm curious, what do you think would happen?
There will never be a perfect world. If there was, how would we deal with the bad people? lock them up? or kill them?
