I was reading this article on this website about the evilness of human being and their ability to perform certain activities, which got me thinking, Are we all capable of being evil?
Is there an evil side to us all, just lurking underneath the sweet persona that we display for society? If given the chance, can we all kill and murder without mercy? Could the reason why we do not goes around killing anyone we see in sight is because society had deems it socially unacceptable?
Let us look back to society and history. The Spanish goals to rid Spain of witches and wizards, where Christian monks with the full support of the royal house of Spain kill, torture, and murder anyone who was guilty or charge with witchcraft.
The very religious south, where devout Christians owns black slave, who were taken from their native homeland of Africa. This black slave was snatch from their village in Africa to work on the plantation of white, devout, Christian southerners, where the southerners became extremely rich from the selling of cotton though free labor.
Infect, these devout Christian reason that god had damn these Africans though the curse of ham so it was morally right to enslave them for personal gains and that slavery was in the bible so it must be okay.
The germen, who willing and without question allow their government to exterminate a whole entire population because that government provide jobs and a better lifestyle for them and their children even though it was at the expense of other people misery?
You had seen the experiment perform by Milligram, where people willing turn up the dial to a point where the other person can die from the charge of electricity direct at them.
The people who was willing to turn off electrical powers in certain parts of California so that the price of electricity can go up thus making more money for the people who are providing it.
Now, there are prisoners that are being torture in gitmo by private contractors. Members of political party and even radio host are justifying torture in the name of national security, yet anyone with a heart of conscious knew that it was morally and fundamentally wrong.
In fact, many people who advocate torturer are either recipient of money donated to their campaign by many private contractors that are making a large profit in Iraq and gitmo, like Halliburton or Blackwater.
So, the question is, are we all capable of evil or at least a dark side, so long as we are all safe and it does not really affect us at all?

i think theres a little evil side in all of us. Just some people mask it much better than others
When I see the people who are guilty of those things to which most people would say "I would never do that," such as murder or genocide or something else highly immoral, I wonder the same thing. Am I capable of that? Look at them. Just look at the people who did it. Yeah, they did a very bad thing. But what makes a perons a "bad" person? What is an "evil" person really? I have a hard time believing that anyone is a "good" or a "bad" person. Everyone is a person. We are all people. We make good and bad choices, but we are all the same. Those people that did those bad things, I am just like them. I do not do those same things, but we are the same in that we are both human beings, both capable of doing good things and bad things.
As far as deciding what is moral or immoral ("Could the reason why we do not goes around killing anyone we see in sight is because society had deems it socially unacceptable?") is up to society, but murder happens every day, provoked and unprovoked. The death penalty - how is that not stooping to the murderer's level? Anyway, the point is, yes, we are all capable, I believe, of reaching a point of making bad choices that lead to worse choices that lead to even more bad and worse choices, and eventually we become that person that everyone calls "bad."
It is for this reason that I choose to make good choices, because I know that if I don't, I could get caught up in making bad choices, and eventually become a "bad" person because of those choices. I have to do good things to continually keep my good nature. Just like anything else, "good" and "bad" require practice.

Would you like me to show you what evil is and how to bring it to life?
You need some serious proofreading before you post a blog entry. This was hard to get through because many of the sentences were either run-on or...I don't even know what. The original idea was good and you started off pretty good, but then it kinda went downhill.
