Politics is kind of a pickle of a topic. You have conservatives feeling persecuted. We have people who want to count people like Rush Limbaugh to give equal time to opposing sides. You look at how Howard stern was forced off normal ways. yet you see RIAA used against legal online broadcasters. You see. Broardcasting is money. ROyalties are not divied up equally just like airtime.
Online Radio have to pay an unfair share of funds. Some complain about bloggers. They are too biased. I think sometimes peopel take too much things wierdy. One problem with most is that peopel lack what is called a thick skin. We are raising a culture of whimps where everyone is not let down.
NCLB to some is a failure. What about parents? Some of them are as powerless as the techers. Teachers have to pay so much more in paying back loans and other expensives especially after they finish the studies. Many states and I prob mean all of the states charge fees to potential teachers for exams. If you ask me this should be paid by grants....
We look at how money is distributed when it comes to congress....money for schools and other projects goes on party lines.
Lieberman is someone who had a backbone and ran as a independant....most of the time he sides with democrats but sometimes he has the courage to go against the party.
Online radio have their own fight just like the politicians.
I remember times long ago when you could hear Radio stations broadcasting on the web. Now the companies are greedy as hell. We can not hear streams. I think it is unfair. I had to get a sattelite radio rather than pay an exorbanent fee to a site that charges pay per view radio for one team or a season pass. The problem now is I got much more.
Schools are the same way. Politcs is interfering with funding just like it does with online radio. I am in a small community. I hear the talk. The radio and the local government are not very good from what I hear.
One of problems with local government like the federal or even state is that you got a lot of filler and not much action. In some instances I have heard some of our local politicians in the school board as being called yes men. One guy routinely falls asleep in school board meetings. THat is so stupid and now hes running again.
