I picked up all my stuff in Texas and moved to California in one day. Well of course I had been planning it for sometime. I moved to California for school. It was the easiest/hardest decision I have ever made. I knew that there was nothing in my hometown for me, so I left. I never thought about what I was actually leaving behind.
When I moved away, I left my family and my dogs. Those are the things I knew I was leaving. But I also left my friends that I love so much, the friends that are my family. I have been away for almost two years now and it is not getting any easier!
I have no plans of ever returning for good. This experience is just one that makes me a stronger individual and a stronger person inside. We are all learning how to stand out on our two feet. Let me just say it is definitely harder then I ever imagined! I just thought I would be living the most amazing California life. I mean I am, but I am definitely paying for it, but in a good way! I love my friends and family so much and it is kind of struggling being away from them for so long! More pain then I ever expected!

Maybe on a semester break or whatever you could go stay with your friends/family for a while. Or they could go and see you and you could show them your California life.
