Would you write the name of your significant other? Would you dedicate to a specific person that made a huge impact on your life?
Or would you utilize that sentence to summarize your life? Your accomplishments, your dreams?
Or quote a inspirational phrase?
Death is a large stretch for me to even think about. But, on my tombstone, I would probably quote Gandhi, who said, "Be the change you want to see in the world."
Why that quotation?
It represents the lifestyle that I want to be fully dedicated to. It's an inspirational thought-- to see everybody in a community bringing out their inner activist. Unrealistic and romantic, but inspirational, nonetheless. It's a start, though. Passerby would read the sentence on my tombstone, and maybe, for those five seconds, that person may have been inspired. Those five seconds is all that a person needs to decide, "Maybe I need change". And change starts with YOU! :)
(Now I sound like an infomercial.)
And wouldn't it be great? To be able to make a difference on someone even after your life has expired? A simple thing like a sentence on your tombstone may be overlooked and most people simply leave their name. After your life has ended, however, would have one sentence to give to others to see?
What would you want to be written on your tombstone and why?

Consumed by life to be fed to death.

No one suspects the quiet one
Live life as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever.
Dead in the deep, both art and reason fade
And a safe harbor lies beyond my hope.
It's from my favorite poem. I'm more into making people think than inspring them.
I’ll be back, soon!
