United States of America 2020
Presidents State of the Union Speech
Mr. Speaker, Vice President Obenhurst, members of Congress, distinguished guests, and fellow citizens: America this evening is a nation called to great responsibilities. And we are rising to meet them.
As we gather tonight, hundreds of thousands of American servicemen and women are deployed across the world in the war on terror. By bringing hope to the oppressed and delivering justice to the violent, they are making America more secure.
Each day, law enforcement personnel and intelligence officers are tracking terrorist threats; analysts are examining airline passenger lists; the men and women of our new Homeland Security Department are patrolling our coasts and borders. And their vigilance is protecting America.
Americans are proving once again to be the hardest working people in the world. The American economy is growing stronger. The tax relief you passed is working.
Tonight, members of Congress can take pride in the great works of compassion and reform that skeptics had thought impossible. You're raising the standards for our public schools, and you are giving our senior citizens prescription drug coverage under Medicare.
We have faced serious challenges together, and now we face a choice: We can go forward with confidence and resolve, or we can turn back to the dangerous illusion that terrorists are not plotting and outlaw regimes are no threat to us. We can press on with economic growth, and reforms in education and Medicare, or we can turn back to old policies and old divisions.
A new threat had arisen however. A threat not just to the American people, but to the entire democratic world. The choice of Russia to not only return back to communism, but to ally themselves with know terrorist regimes such as North Korea, and China brings in to consideration that perhaps world peace is not their goal.
A strengthened Chinese economy is weakening ours. The lack of traditional tariffs on foreign goods between China, Russian, and North Korea had led to their economies growth, and the ability of our economy to compete with theirs is shrinking.
The recent decision to massively re-arm the military of North Korea, along with Russia and China can not be ignored. Their stances have become more and more hostile to the world. We must take steps to combat their growing hostility. With that said, I am now going to take this opportunity to request the transfer of 20 billion dollars from the National Treasury to the Department of Defense in order to better prepare our military should a National crisis arise.
With that the entire building shook with applause. The American people had regained their sense of National pride in the last few years. With the recent success of democracy in the Middle East, the American people had finally come to realize that the reward was worth the loss of life. Flags were now flown from every building, and people began to see themselves not as part British, part Irish, part African, part this and part that, but as fully Americans. Productivity rose sharply, and unemployment virtually disappeared. There were always long lines outside of recruitment offices, and the military had no shortage of very qualified candidates. It seemed as if America was truly once again on top of the world. That was before the plague however. It had originated in some part of Africa, and slowly made its way westward into the United States. Before a cure had been found, over 70 million Americans had died. While this did nothing to hamper a feeling of Patriotism in the Unites States, as it did quite the opposite, a loss of that magnitude still shook that Nations economy. Then came the Great Revival. The Roman Catholic religion spread like fire to all who could access its message of hope and life. In America, nearly 98% of all people became practicing Catholics, and the Church could hardly keep up with the demand for new churches. A great increase in the number of vocations occurred, and before long, the religion was one of the most dominant forces in America. Now everyone was not only an American, but a Catholic as well. However, this did not happen in Asia. The governments clamped down on the religion, and ceased its spread completely. This common action later lead to the drastic increase in relations between the nations, and before long, the complete assimilation of one into the other. The Far East Conglomerate as they were called. Supposedly an equal part of Chinese, Russian, and North Korean leadership led the people, but everyone knew that Russia dominated the scene. With their newfound power, they soon solidified their positions in Asia, bringing man other nations to near subservience. Their combined military technology and production ability soon gave them the dominant military on the globe, and near invincibility. Their governments were run nearly like a company, with the ability to purchase membership into their conglomerate. The most common currency was soldiers, nuclear technology, ships, and oil. Many nations joined just out of fear that one day they would be attacked. Before long, NATO was no longer the most powerful alliance, as its membership continued to decline due to FEC’s increase in power. The world braced itself as it prepared for the first global nation in the history of mankind. Then came the Great Denial. The entire FEC, on order from Moscow, completely destroyed every trace of Catholicism in their respective nations. Millions of refugees began boarding ships heading to Australia, Great Britain, and America. Then came the worst disaster in the history of mankind.
The planning had gone off without anyone noticing. Under a great mask, the FEC had moved the largest army in the history of mankind to the shores of America. The FEC anticipated total victory within weeks. At first the invasion was kept a perfect secret. Even the paratroopers that were to form the first attack were told that it was just a training exercise. It was not until they were several miles out from their target that they were told the true nature of their mission. The Russians were to form the elite brigades that were to take strategic positions around America, while the numerous Chinese were to swarm heavily defended positions along the coast and then make their way inland. The North Koreans were to then move in and take control of port facilities and police work along the coast and the Chinese kept the interior safe. The Russians would then begin the “re-education” of the American public. The plan was perfect, or would have been were it not for the desperation of Americans who had everything to lose.
Outside Camp Witicha, July 1st, 2021 3:30 AM
The Russian agents had trained for this day for years. They were of course deeply saddened when the mission that they were picked for was such an easy one. Of course they had no right to question the will of their government, and they were determined to complete the mission to the best of their abilities. If that meant that they were to spend a few extra minutes laying more explosives near the power grid that supplied electricity to a nearby Ranger base then that’s what they would do. Perhaps their commander might even let them go in and take out a few officers if they were lucky.
Camp Waticha, July 1st, 2021 4:00 AM
“Hey, something’s wrong with this damn T.V. again.” shouted Private Johnson. “Well then why don’t you fix it?” shouted back the Colonel. “I’m trying sir, but its like the power just died?” “that’s weird, ill get someone on it.” The Colonel reached down to call a mechanic with his radio when he noticed that it to was dead. “Oh shit.” Said the Colonel as he races out towards the HQ, leaving the dumbfounded Private there with the T.V. Back at the HQ it was clear that the T.V. was not the only thing lacking power. The normally brightly lit room was now only dimly lit with flashlights. “Colonel it seems like we lost power all over the base, I’ve put in a call with my cell to central, we should have the problem fixed in a couple of hours. “Very good Sergeant McEnroe, and in the mean time it seems like my radio has died, I need a new one.” “Will do sir.”
American Skies, July 1st, 2021 7:00 AM
All around America, millions of people looked up onto a sky that seemed was completely filled with planes. Most assumed it was just a show of power by the government, but as thousands of paratroopers began spilling out, and grenades began falling, panic struck. No one had been taught to expect something like this. In fact, it was nearly the first time in American history that an enemy had attempted to invade their territory. Within minutes however, luck came on the side of the Americans. Winds swept across America, sweeping many paratroopers outside of the city, and giving those within time to comprehend what to do. Patriotic spirit arose, and many people with guns grabbed them and the headed off to join with friends to repel this assault. The military took full advantage of this and sent officers to head the bands of militia, and soon organized resistance blocked off most cities from the Russian onslaught, for a few more hours at least. The Russians had taken into account luck, and had dispatched nearly 2 million more Chinese soldiers just after the initial Russian waves. Just as the American militias and military thought that they could hold the assault off; doom came from the West, as more and more planes spilled out soldiers. The attacks on all major cities lasted less then 6 hours apiece, until nearly every piece of major military hardware, and every pocket of resistance had been cleared out. On the major ports, thousands of North Korean and Chinese soldiers landed in crafts and swarmed the port facilities, capturing all intact. Every city had been surrounded, and it in part with the plan, every ex military, and military person would be locked in the city until America had been fully taken, and then they would be executed.
Washington D.C. July 1st, 8:00 AM
“Mr. President, you must hurry, we don’t have that much time now.” “Yes Charles, I will be right there.” The President slowly and begrudgingly left the home he had spent nearly 7 years in, and boarded a green helicopter along with several of his aides and guards. “Where are we to go Charles, America is lost, everywhere is taken.” “I know that sir. My orders are to take you to one of our training bases and attempt to hide you there; we are not sure which one, as we have not been able to contact Witicha, or Feckers.” “Is it possible that they have been taken to?” “Right now sir, anything is possible.” Suddenly gunshots rang outside the window, and several bullets pinged off the side of the craft. “Sir stay I here, we will cover you for as long as we can, Pilot, as soon as you are ready, take off and don’t come back.” Screamed one of the veteran SS guards. He knew that he was sacrificing not only his life, but the lives of all those who went with him to try and buy the President a little more time to get to safety. Inside the dark green helicopter, the President sat in silence. He knew just as well as the men that had left to defend him that everyone not on the helicopter was destined to die. As the great helicopter lifted off of the pad, the men below fought on against impossible odds. Just as the helicopter was lifted out of sight, the chief SS agent ordered a retreat into the White House. From there, the 20 surviving agents had a chance of escape. Five of them, all wounded chose to stay behind and cover their comrades’ desperate dash for freedom. As the five fought on, the others crawled on their bellies inside a tunnel older then most buildings in D.C. It led to a small townhouse on the outskirts of the city, and from there the men could access a small semi-personal underground rail station that was very much as modern as anything around. It was built in case the President couldn’t escape by air, and it led to a choice of 3 military bases, one of which was assured to already be destroyed, Andrews Air Force Base. The other two however, were very small special operations’ training grounds, and it was hoped that they were skipped over in the initial invasion. It was one of these two bases, Witicha, or Feckers that the 15 agents hoped to make their escape to. However, both bases could not be contacted, so the agents had no idea what to expect when they got there. “Hey, Nate, which base?” “I don’t know, split up, you seven go to Witicha, ill take 7 and go to Feckers. Once we get there, try and make contact with each other.” “All right, meet you on the other side.” “See you there Steve.” With that the few surviving agents boarded the small underground rail cars and sped off towards what they hoped was freedom.
Camp Feckers, July 1st 2021, 9:00 AM
“Private, there’s another one over in that window, take him out!” The private soon fired his AT-4 rocket launcher at a window in what used to be the Camp Feckers mess hall. Now it was filled with Russian agents determined to overrun the camp. The fight had been going on for about an hour, and it was already obvious that the Americans, despite their superior skills, were all going to die. The Russians had nearly a 4:1 advantage, and they were spread out all over the base. The one building that the Americans had fully occupied was the one that contained the secret rail car station. It was their only hope that there was still a reason to fight on to protect whoever would come out of that tunnel. They were not disappointed though. At nearly 11:00 AM, 8 veteran SS agents came out of the tunnel. The much needed reinforcements heightened moral immensely, even though anyone smart would have already realized that the fight was hopeless. “Private, where’s your commander?” “He’s right over there sir” “thank you.” The SS agent walked over to the center of the building to an older man who sat hunched over a radio trying desperately to contact a larger base for reinforcements. “General, its hopeless; the Russians an Chinese have already destroyed all of the other bases, we though that this base and Witicha would still be a secret, but apparently not.” “Then it’s hopeless? Am I to just let my base fall without a fight? I am wasting my men’s lives for nothing.” “No general your not.” “What do you mean?” “Inside this bases computers is contained large amounts of information on weapons, strategy’s, and a plan to conduct an insurgency should America fall. We must defend this base until this information had been cleared from the hard drives, and a fake program installed.” “Then this is not a waste?” “No, we die with honor.” “How long will this take.” “30 minutes.” “We will all be past dead by then.” “I pray not” With that, the general ordered an increase in resistance, even to the death, from his soldiers. The Americans lasted another 25 minutes, but just short of the time needed. With just the 8 SS agents, the general, and his 2 guards, it seemed hopeless. “General, you need time, my men can give you that, but you have to trust us, do not open that door for anyone, even me.” With that the SS agent left the room to a certainly painful death. Outside, the lone SS agent was pleading desperately with the enemy commander, not really looking for terms of surrender, but just trying to take up as much time as possible. These “negotiations” lasted nearly 5 minutes, long enough for the program to complete its work. Unfortunately, the Russian commander finally figured out what the man in front of him was doing, and ordered him tortured to death, only after he watched as the rest of the survivors were killed.
Marine 1 Helicopter, July 1st 2021, 11:00 AM
“Uh sir, were receiving a communication from Feckers, apparently they are under attack, they want us to divert to Witicha.” “Well I guess we have no choice, even if it’s a trap, Feckers would be no better.” With that Marine 1 headed off to the only military base still untouched in America.
Camp Witicha, July 1st 2021, 12:00 AM
“Ha, sir, I got the T.V. working, power is restored to the base.” “Nice work, now lets see what we have missed.” The colonel turned on the T.V., and nearly fainted with what he saw. The Russian flag hanging over the White House, battalions of Russian paratroopers marching in New York, and Thousands of Chinese marines swarming around L.A. “Uh, Private, sound the call to arms.” “Yes sir.” With that a piercing siren filled the air around the base, and sent 200 men scrambling for their weapons. Within 5 minutes all 200 were assembled on the parade field in full uniform with weapons loaded and ready to fight. “Soldiers, there had been a, uhmm, invasion.” Sudden disbelief spread throughout the 200 men. “Obviously we are going to come under attack soon, and I have orders from the President of the United States to surrender.” Tears began to flow down some of the men’s faces, the thought of surrendering without a fight was simply to much for them. “I would like all of you to go to the Hangar, and sit down in your squads. We are to wait for a Russian official to come and accept our surrender. He speaks English, and I doubt anyone here speaks Russian so we are just to keep our mouths shut and stay still.” “YES SIR!” The men moved solemnly to the hangar where they waited for a few hours until dust could be seen on the horizon, and 10 half-ton trucks pulled to a stop just outside the large building. Over 50 soldiers got out and took positions around the soldiers waiting in the hangar. The Russian official moved up to the front of the room and began to speak long and dully about the new world that Russia was making, one in which peace and prosperity were to rule. All 200 Americans rolled their eyes and nearly everything the Russian said. All except one; Captain Mike Jones was silently listening to the conversations of the Russians in the back of the room. Fear filled him at first, as the Russians were talking about killing all of the leadership in the base to make a point. They were discussing the gruesome ways I which they were going to kill the colonel, and many others. It was almost as if they were looking forward to their gruesome acts. Finally, Mike had heard enough of the Russians talk of peace and happiness. He silently drew his pistol, and aimed with his laser pointer with the pistol underneath the seat. He waited until the red dot was right in the middle of the Russian officials face, and fired. The 9mm round effectively destroyed the mans face and exited the back of his head in a mess of gore and blood. Mike quickly stood up and shouldered his rifle as he took aim at the guards around the room. The other Americans, happy that they could finally fight; all shouldered their weapons and fired at the Russians. Within minutes all of the Russians were dead. The Americans looked around and found 4 of their own dead, including the colonel, and 2 majors. The death of nearly the entire leadership of the Rangers left but one high ranking officer left. Captain Mike Jones took command of the eager Rangers and had them hide the bodies of the Russians, and Americans. He then sent them to gather every supply that they could. Like eager children they set upon loads of ammunition, medical supplies, hundreds of MRE’s, and grenades. Mike ordered everything with wheels readied, and loaded everything they could carry on the vehicles. The huge convoy was a great mix of captured Russian trucks, Humvees, gas tankers, and cargo trucks. The convoy was just about to leave when a helicopter was seen in the distance. Mike surveyed it in his long distance binoculars, and immediately recognized it as Marine 1. The convoy halted, and Mike ordered one truck to move its supplies to other trucks so that it could hold the President and his entourage. The helicopter came to a graceful stop just a short way from the convoy. The President slowly walked off of the helicopter and went straight for Mike; not because he had the stars of a general, but that he had the demeanor of someone who knows what he is doing. “Soldier, what happened here?” “Mr. President, the Russians sent a group to “re-educate” us. I overheard that they planned to execute our senior leaders, and so I opened fire. We took out about 60 of them, but we lost 4 of out own, including most of our officers. I assumed command as senior officer on base.” “Very good soldier.” “Thank you sir, do you want to start off now, more Russians are sure to come once they don’t have contact with the group that came earlier.” “I have some SS agents coming in through the rail system; we will wait for them and then go on.” “Yes sir.” The convoy stayed there for what seemed for forever. The soldiers were starting to get nervous, as the longer they waited, the higher the chances of enemy contact. Just after 6:00 PM, 7 men exited what looked like an abandoned building, and quickly ran toward the convoy. “SS agent Steve Roberts, under your command, thanks for waiting for us.” “No problem men, now let’s get going.” The SS agents joined the President in his truck, and the convoy started out. “Mr. President, do you have any idea where we should go?” “One second.” The President pulled out a laptop, and entered into the Witicha mainframe. Mike was originally confused about what help the laptop might be in determining where to run to, but was soon enlightened. The President had accessed a program that was essentially an insurgent strategy for America. It also was able to hack into the satellites of every major nation, so the President could see anything he needed to. “Head due north from here, there is an abandoned factory that was built for this, there is a large reserve of food, water, and gasoline hidden inside.” “Yes sir.” Mike was constantly amazed at the ability of the government to be prepared for crises. By midnight, the convoy pulled up to an enormous factory that looked as if it were on the verge of falling over. “Sir are you sure that it’s safe to go in there?” “The walls were built to look that way soldier, there’s nearly 3 feet of solid reinforced steel inside the cement, its not falling over any time soon.” “Yes sir.” The President pulled out a small pad with a single button on it, pressed it, and a huge door slowly slid out to reveal a surprisingly modern inside to the building. The convoy fit every vehicle inside the huge structure, and then closed the giant door again. Once the door was closed, lights turned on and the place looked like it was bright noon. The walls were sleek metal, and there was enough room inside for several divisions. In one corner was what looked like a control room, with complex radios, radar screens, maps, satellite images, and many more complex instruments. Mike immediately had his men spread out and set up camp. They emptied the trucks, loaded all of the ammunition into a secure room, and set up all of their command and control equipment. A small medical room was established, and bunks were set up. “All right men, you’ve done excellently today, but that might have been the easiest thing we do for a long time. Get some sleep now, and get ready for a busy day tomorrow, we are going to make this place a little cozier.” With the over 200 men in the building gratefully fell down onto their bunks and fell asleep.
Abandoned Factory, July 2nd 2021, 8:00 AM
Reveille sounded, loud as ever, though it was silent outside, as the buildings sound dampening system was nearly perfect. The men inside awoke quickly, extremely refreshed from the extra 2 hours of sleep they were granted. “All right men, you have the next 30 minutes to get your personal space squared away, and eat. After that, were making this place home.” “Yes Sir!” The men quickly went to work, shaping up their areas, and eating breakfast from their brown MRE bags. Within 25 minutes, every soldier was lined up and ready to work. “Ok men, first, A squad, I want you to go and set a half mile perimeter around this place. I was sensors everywhere, I want to know the second we have company. B squad, I want you to set up concealed fighting positions outside the building, keep the sandbags blackened, and don’t make anything to obvious, if there’s a chance we can go unnoticed, I want to. C squad, I want normal sandbags set up to cover every entrance; if they make it into here I want to be able to still be under cover. D squad, I want surveillance set up around the perimeter at key places, on the roof, and around the entrances. E Squad, I want the inside of this base to look perfect. Fix up the armory, medical area, and everywhere else. I want these areas perfectly organized. I want a catalogue of everything we have, and I want an area for people to write down things that we will need. I also want you to fix up a room for the President. Ok people, get to work.” With that every soldier sped off to do what was needed of him. Not one soldier complained at all, because they all knew that what they were doing could mean the difference between life and death. Mike walked back and forth between the busy men, inspecting what they were doing, and was very impressed. By 10:00 PM, all the work was done. Mike had already inspected the video surveillance and found that it was flawless. There wasn’t anything more that they could do to the base, except of course add a couple hundred more soldiers. The inside of the base, although there was a large multitude of equipment, looked mostly empty; mainly because the building was made to hold nearly 2 divisions. “Private, where are those SS men?” “Over there sir.” “Thank you.” Mike walked over to them. He hoped that they would agree to what he asked, but he did not know whether they were going to be cooperative with him. There was no way he could force them to be, and they knew it. “Excuse, me, I have a favor to ask you men.” They stopped their conversation, and looked over. Mike had decided that trying the friendly approach would be more effective then trying to force them. “I need some intelligence on the town just a few miles away, and I wanted someone like me to go with me, someone that’s good at what they do.” Mike looked hopefully at their faces, hoping that his obvious complement might sway them. “And who do you think you are?” asked a cynical agent. He was sure of the skill of the SS agents, but to him all soldiers were merely schoolboys, not skilled agents. “I was just hoping that one of you wouldn’t mind going out with me to the town, undercover, just to get some info, and some supplies.” “Uhm, how about you go get one of your little green boys to go with you to get your toilet paper.” Most of the agents laughed at that, but one genuinely felt that if they were going to survive, they needed to work together. “Ill go.” “What, Steve, what are you thinking man, you could get killed out there.” Shouted one of the other agents. “Thank you Steve, ill go and get on some civilian clothes, and well go on foot to the town, until we can obtain a car in the town. “All right, ill be right behind you.” The two men left the facility through a small door in the back, and headed towards the town.
Pendelville, July 3rd 2021, 6:00 AM
The two strange men had walked into the diner just a few minutes ago. They attracted the stares of nearly the entire restaurant, in part because of their seemingly un-matching outfits. One wore what looked like an expensive suit, and though it looked a little wrinkled, it was still nice. The other looked almost like a gangster, a mix of to large pants, and a triple XL t-shirt with a large T.I. on the front. After a few minutes, the diner patrons went back to their meals, and left the two men to their own business. After eating, the two men left the diner and headed to the town center. All along the way, they saw dozens of Russian Flags hanging from windows, and Russian soldiers walking all around. When they passed the town courthouse, it became obvious that the Russians were now using it for a “re-education” facility. People had to attend at least 3 classes a week, and the “lessons” were always the same. Communism is good, democracy is bad, and capitalism is the devil. There were also parts of the lesson in which the people were instructed to learn Russian, so that the soldiers wouldn’t have to speak English. The two strange men once more set off, but this time to a local store that had come up on the strategy program as a safe house. They entered the store, and soon saw why there were no Russian soldiers around. It was a Cripps house. As the men entered, they did not expect in their wildest dreams to see what happened next. The men inside, all gangsters, took the two men, and brought them up to the second floor. In there, they were actually greeted friendly by the gang leader. “Yo mans, whats chillin out there. I heard some naughty ass shit about the bitchy Russo bitches. Yo man, you be needin our help?” The SS agent, for all his classes on ethnic communication, could only sit dumbfounded at the lack of correct English by the leader. It was Mike, who had grown up in a predominantly black neighborhood as a youth that spoke up first. “Ya man, we got some bitches that hammered us back at the crib. They all talking some shit like we some pussy ass niggas. They think we aint do nothing. Man, I popped their asses so hardcore. But man for real, now we got this new crib, and we aint got some of our shit now.” “Ok man, what you be needin?” “We need like, a way to get shit to us out there, like a truck that dumps out shit. Here, I got an extra GPS I already put in coordinates, so like when we order stuff, just dump it out there, and well pick it up.” Ya man no prob here, whatcha want.” “Im gonna need all the 9mm ammo you can get. Uh, I need a phone that goes secure to just this building, just to you. I need you to tell me everything that those bitches are doin, and I need any info when they’re movin supplies.” “ya man, and what do I get out of this.” “Cash, and a document saying that you can do whatever the hell you want with them pussy ass bitches.” “You fresh man?” Steve took Mike over into a corner to talk to him. “Mike, you know we cant give him a document saying that, there is no such thing.” “He doesn’t know that, and whos going to stop him, do you think that the Russians are going to try and get the President to sign a wanted order for them? American is gone, and that means we have no laws any more.” “Fine, but I hope this isn’t a mistake.” “Its not man, I know these people, you can trust them.” The two men walked back to the gang members. “Ya man, you decided yet.” “Yes, we are going to give you a document of illegality, and 30 million dollars.” “30 mil, that’s pretty nice, ya man, ha, hell ya. What the hells that document thing?” “It says that when you doing shit to Russians, there are no laws that apply to you.” “Ah sweet shit man. We got your back in this town, nothing goes down without you knowin. I got some brothers otherwheres, we’ll get you some pretty good shit. 30 mill man, you some cool bitch. Aight, peace man.” “peace yo.” The two men walked out, and then back into the street. Steve was immediately sick. “Hey, Steve, you ok man?” “No, *caugh* you just gave away 30 million dollars we don’t have. I don’t care about the money, but those are gangsters, they’ll kill us if we don’t get the money. And its not like we can take out a loan with the Russians for 30 million dollars!” “Ha, were not going to loan the money, were taking it out in cash.” “What the hell are you talking about?” “Were robbing the bank.” “Oh shit, I knew I shouldn’t have come.” Mike led the way, with a very reluctant Steve following him. They rounded a corner and came to the steps of what looked like a bank far to large for a town the size of the one they were in. “This is where Bill Gates keeps half of his money. Who would think to look here for all that money? Ha.” “Oh god, I don’t know if I can do this, what if one of the guards resists, I cant go off killing Americans!” “We won’t. The Russians took control of guarding all of the major buildings in America; there are no American guards here.” “Just Russians” “Just Russians” “Ok then, im ready.” The two men drew their pistols, creeping to the doors. “How are we going to make sure Americans don’t die?” asked Steve. “Have faith my good friend” said Mike as he opened the door a little and pulled the fire alarm. Within seconds the bank was nearly empty. The two men busted in and opened fire on anything that moved. Mike took aim a one guard that had his back turned to the men and hit him squarely in the back of the head. Mike ran over and grabbed his rifle. Meanwhile, Steve had been sniping with his custom 9mm pistol. He had brought down 3 men when he heard the staccato fire of an AK rifle. He hit the ground and prayed that the bullets would not pass through the table he was using as cover. He was surprised when he didn’t hear bullets pinging around him, and suddenly though of Mike, he got up and looked around for the guards. All he saw though was Mike holding a nearly empty AK-47 and grinning at his handy work. “I decided his rifle was a little better.” Mike tossed the rifle to Steve, along with plenty of extra clips. “Steve, hold the lobby, ill be back in a few minutes with our money. Don’t let anyone in.” Mike ran off down the hallway while Steve got ready for the imminent assault by whatever Russian heard the gunfire. Mike had just made it to the mainframe computer when he heard shots fired. Damn he though, it would take him at least 5 minutes to hack into the banks computer and open all the locks to the safes, as well as transfer a large amount of money to an un-named account in the Bahamas. He started out, slowly at first, but speeding up as his fingers got workout out, before long his fingers looked like a blur as he bypassed hundreds of firewalls, and blocks, and passwords. Out in the lobby, Steve was busy changing clips as he looked out at what had to be nearly 60 Russians. He knew he couldn’t take them all. He felt a sinking feeling in his stomach as he realized he had so many opportunities to avoid this. “Oh well, if I am going to die, I am not going alone.” He though as he emptied another clip into the mass and brought down several more soldiers. ”Yes!! I did it!” screamed Mike as he realized that he now had complete control of the bank. “lets see, open all locks.” The computer beeped once as it accepted his command. “Transfer money, to this account now.” The computer beeped again, and the screen was filled with a ticker, it was counting how much money had been transferred to the Bahamas account. Mike decided to destroy the monitor so that the Russians couldn’t see where the money was going, but he left the computer running so the money kept transferring until the power was shut off. He ran down a small staircase to the vault. “Holy Shit” though Mike, he had never seen this much money in one place. He started methodically. Diamonds first, then other gems, then he began loading up several backpacks and suitcases with cash. When he was done he had nearly 40 million dollars with him. He ran back to the lobby where he saw an exhausted agent with nearly no ammunition left in his pistol, and a discarded AK rifle by his feet. “Bout time you got back, there’s still nearly 30 or so left. I don’t have enough ammunition left to take them all, so, you have a knife?” “Ha, nope, but I have a cell phone.” “Oh that’s great, maybe we can talk to them while they kill us.” “Tsk tsk tsk, still so little faith.” Mike pulled out the cell phone and presses one number. “Ya man, we got you shit, but we got some bitches on us…ya man, its all yours, everything here.” Mike put the cell-phone back in his pocket and sat back to wait. Down the hall, Steve was nearing in on giving up again, why did Mike seem so content, they were both about to die. Just then, shots rang out in mass. Not just the staccato AK sounds, but the smoother sound of MP-5 rifles, and the smash of magnum pistols. Steve cautioned a look outside, and saw the gangsters from earlier destroying the Russians. Thank god he though. A few minutes later, the gangsters had finished their deadly work and walked up the steps of the bank to collect their money. “Here ya go man, thanks for getting our asses.” “ya, it’s a pleasure doing business with you. Haha, lets go bitches, we got our paper now.” “Peace man.” The gangsters left in all their glory, firing their weapons into the air as they went. “Oh my god, that was close.” “Aww, was the poor little SS agent scared?” joked Mike. Both men walked down the street, careful to avoid the mass of Russians that were now headed to the bank. Mike quickly ducked into an electronics store, and bought a several things, one of which was a Xbox 360. “Why did u burden yourself with that piece of trash?” asked Steve. “Have you never been a child?” they both laughed as they headed back into the forest and towards their base.
Abandoned Factory, July 4th 2021 6:00 AM
“All right men! Time to wake up, come on now, wake up!” shouted Mike. This was just their 3rd day in the factory, but they already felt at home. Knowing that it was July 4th, Mike had some surprises planned for the Russians. Of course, the Russians had forbade any celebration on this day. “All right men, today is going to be our first real mission to undermine the authority of the Russians. We are going to load up and move off to a collection point that I have gotten someone to drop off some special equipment. We will then head to D.C. and set them up. This mission is volunteer only, everyone who wants to go, take one step forward.” Every soldier took one step forward, as well as Steve. The rest of the SS agents and the President were to stay back at the fort and make sure everything was still good. The soldiers pilled into their trucks, and set off down the road.
Drop Point 1, July 4th 2021, 7:30 AM
“Alright soldiers, that stuff right out there is your equipment. Get it into the trucks, and then I will brief you on your mission.” The soldiers jumped out and moved the unmarked boxes into the trucks. In a few minutes all the boxes were in the trucks, and they were headed off towards D.C.
Outside Washington D.C., July 4th 2021, 9:00 AM
“Alright soldiers, here is your mission. Inside these boxes is a combination of things. Some have C4, but most have fireworks.” The soldiers all looked at each other. It wouldn’t result in many Russian casualties, but it sure would make America feel better to look up and see fireworks in the sky on July 4th. “First, I want my A team to come with me. Were going to get into civilian clothes and plant C4 on every Russian occupied building in the city. I want every other team to put fireworks at the points designated on your maps. We will all be in civilian clothes, but keep a steady eye out. I don’t want any action on this mission. Once it’s dark, we will detonate the C4, then the fireworks. That’s the plan, so let’s get to it.” “Yes Sir!” The soldiers quickly got into civilian clothes, and got their equipment. Small teams spread out through the city planting their cargo all over the city. Checkpoints, Russian barracks, Russian official’s house’s, anything that was inhabited by Russians got a block or two of C4. Even scattered Russian military vehicles got a block of C4 on them by the passing men. By 9:00 PM everything was ready. The soldiers had all made it back to the convoy without incident, and now they all looked expectantly at the city that lay sprawled out beneath them. Mike walked out in front of them, and slowly raised the detonator. “Vive le Revolution!!” he screamed as he pressed the button and the sky lit up in a fiery explosion. Down in the city, people screamed as buildings suddenly erupted in fire. Tanks blocking streets suddenly exploded, and then, majestically, great fireworks shot up into the sky. There were several thousand of the fireworks, and they all went off at the same time. The sky was lit up like daytime, and even from on the mountain, the soldiers could hear the screams of joy from the city. “America is not dead yet.” Remarked Mike as he jumped up into a truck and signaled for the convoy to head back to base.
Abandoned Factory, July 5th 2021, 8:00 AM
The morning news was full of information that day. Word of the explosions and fireworks had spread like a wildfire across the nation, and everywhere there was word of it, there was hope that perhaps America could shed the cloak of tyranny that had been placed upon it. Even though the Russians had only been in control for less then a week, the people were tired of them, and ready for them to leave; incidents like this only served to increase the patriotic spirit in them. Mike hoped that within a few years, he could instill enough confidence in the American people to let the rebel on their own. Just as the colonies had done years before, he planned a massive revolution against the power above them. For now however, he knew that they had no choice but to sit back for a time, and let the Russians forget about them. “Everyone Assemble!” All of the soldiers quickly assembled in front of Mike. “I have a new idea. We are going to lay low militarily. I have people who can get us ammo, so I want people training, but just 2 teams worth. I want everyone else training in a different way. From now on everyone must visit a gym I am going to be building as soon as I get the stuff. I also want everyone who has ever played a sport to be training for that, we are going to have a little surprise in a year.”
Chapter 2
America, December 25 2021
The Russians had finally succeeded. There plan had worked to perfection. They had conquered America in less then one week, and in the following months had been able to turn the public’s opinion in favor of them. In the past several months, hundreds of soldiers that had been hiding amongst the public had been betrayed by their countrymen in exchange for money. Nearly every person that had ever been part of the military had been captured, and executed. For the most part, America had been defiant at first, until another onset of the plague. It had not truly been another onset of the plague, but a virus engineered by Russian medical staff. It worked its horrors slowly. For a few days, it was impossible to tell that you had it. It was highly contagious, and for those days, the person unknowingly transfers the disease to many others. Then it slowly weakens the person, eventually reducing them to bed rest. Then in a few hours of intense pain, the victim dies in a shower of their own blood pouring into their lungs. The scientists that had developed this disease were of course rewarded richly by the Russian government. The disease was then shipped over to America where it caught on immediately. The Russians already had the vaccine, and so all of their soldiers were already immune. As the epidemic spread through America, it went further then the Russians had anticipated. So few people were immune that it seemed as if nearly all of America would die. Within the first 2 weeks, nearly 20 million people died. The Russians knew they had to stop it, but no one had any idea how to. No one that is, until their “Grand Protector” came up with an idea. On supposedly a peace trip to America, he had a small needle put on a ring on his hand, and went around a small town placing his hand on the people. Within hours, the town was completely cured. He then went around to several towns doing his miracle before he gave the formula to American doctors who then administered the vaccine to the public. This move was a huge stroke of luck for the Russians. The American public came to see them not as invaders, but as great protectors, and the healers of the plague. Even though 40 million people died in a plague engineered by Russia, the American people still viewed the Russians as their main hope for world peace. This move underestimated the resistance more then anything that had happened yet. The move of political genius continued, as the Russian leader offered to create a land for those who did not wish to be ruled by the Russians. The new nation was given the islands of Key West to live on. Nearly 200,000 made it to that island before the bridges leading to it were destroyed. Those on the island were then denied power, and subsequently starved to death. The American public was then lied to, with the Russians saying it was those on the island who killed many Russian guards who were delivering food and medical supplies. The Russians said that the rebels then destroyed the bridges to prevent justice from being delivered to those who had murdered Russians. The Americans ate up this, along with countless lies along the next few months, and soon they were just as loyal to Russia as they had been to America. Any time that the patriotic Americans tried to do something to stir up anti-Russian sentiment it always backfired on them because of the combined American and Russian media. The Russians were so confident that they even combined the Russian and American Olympic teams into one for the Olympics. They simply did not let their “colony” of America enter a team; they just took every good athlete and entered them for Russia. The world braced for an all Russian Olympics.
Olympic Committee, December 26 2021, 1:00 PM
“Hello Olympic registration.” “Yes I have another nation that wants to sign up in several events.” “Another nation, uhm, sir are you sure, I have every nation signed up that is eligible.” “Not this one.” “Oh my god, are you serious?” “I need you to keep it a secret until opening night.” “No problem, and good luck, I am really pulling for you.” “Thank you.”
Olympic Opening Day Ceremony, July 4th 2022, 10:00 AM
“Hello all, and welcome to this years opening day ceremony for the coming Summer Olympics.” The crowds shook with applause as he continued. “These Olympics are going to be a little different then usual as you all know, but try and overlook the changes and connect with the history in this place. But now, your host nation, Greece!” The stands shook with excitement as the Greek team, lead by their flag bearer entered the stadium. The only sad part of these Olympics would be that no nation had a chance against a Russian team that pulled athletes from almost 12 different nations. Even the buildings had been funded by Russia, and all contained Russian emblems all over them. “The parade of Nations! Led by favored Russia!” The stands seemed to be having an earthquake as the crowd went wild as the many national teams entered the stadium, lead by Russia who had by far the highest number of members. As the last nation entered, the crowd slowly became quitter; but then the most unexpected event occurred; another nation emerged into the stadium, one which no one could have expected. A small team of immensely strong looking men entered the stadium. This in and of itself was not to surprising, as it was the Olympics, so everyone expected men and women in the prime of their physical lives. The surprising part was what they followed. The flag bearer bore a great flag, one with 13 read and white striped and 50 stars in a field of blue. It was an American flag, one that no one in the world though that they would see again. The men took their places among the other nations, and the crowd went wild, the sound of the claps, screams, and pure joy rebounded off of all the walls in the city, and it seemed as if an earthquake had struck. The people in the stands were in pure ecstasy. The Russian entourage was red with anger, but everyone else was filled with joy. The Russians had no choice but to continue with the games and deal with the problem afterwards. Besides, hadn’t they taken every pro athlete from America? There had been no good practice areas for this American team to practice on. Perhaps this was a good thing, the Americans would be crushed, and it would prove that Russia is superior. The only teams that America had entered were the marathon, tennis, soccer, and baseball. It would not be hard to defeat these few Americans and then deal with their insolence later. In America however, people began to realize that this was the 2nd straight Independence Day that a group of Americans had done something seemingly impossible in honor of the holiday.
1st Round Olympic soccer, July 5th 2022
“And we welcome you today for first round soccer between Russia and our host nation Greece.” The crowd was clearly ready to begin play, and just a few minutes later, Russia kicked off the ball. It was an extremely one sided game. Russia’s main goal scorer, Brain McNair, who was an American, scored 6 goals. The only starter on the team that was a true Russian scored one goal. The game ended with a lopsided score of 18-1. On the American side it was less one-sided. America was in one of the toughest divisions, sharing the 5 team group with 2nd seeded Brazil, 3rd seeded Italy, 4th seeded Germany, and 7th seeded France. By far the toughest division, America started off its bid for a medal against Brazil. In the first 5 minutes, the Brazilians scored twice. The Americans, led by Mike Jones, then rebounded and scored 3 goals by the end of the half. In the start of the 2nd half, the Brazilians again started out hot and quickly scored one goal. The timer was ticking down, and the game went into stoppage time. The crowd was on its feet. The American Mike Jones stole the ball from the leading Brazilian scorer and made a dash for the side. He passed it back to the goal keeper, and for a second it seemed as if the keeper might miss it and allow it in. At the last second the keeper grabbed it. He quickly kicked it as hard as he could down the pitch. It seemed as if it were going to go back to a Brazilian, but at the last second, Mike Jones jumped and headed the ball further down the field. He sprinted after it, just barely getting to it before a Brazilian. He ran with all of his strength down the pitch, dodging 3 defenders along the way. He came to the last defender, did a juke towards the left, and sprinted down the right. He had made it to the corner of the field when he turned and kicked with all of his might. The ball seemed to go in slow motion. Everyone in the field was on their feet. The noise was almost deafening. The ball continued to fly towards the goal. The goalie realized only too late that the ball was slowly spinning back to the goal. He tried to correct his mistake, but too late, as the ball flew past him, and slowly spun into the opposite corner of the net. The sound that came from the audience was louder then anything anyone had ever heard before. The Brazilian players sunk to their knees I disappointment, and the American players leaped into the air in joy. Never before had American soccer handed a defeat to an elite club; but now, with all of their good players gone to Russia they finally succeeded. Back in America, the loyalty to Russia began to finally drain, as they saw everyday ordinary Americans performing amazing feats. Russia saw this to, and was determined to outdo the Americans at every turn. It was not to be though, even though the Russians made a record for number of goals scored in Preliminary rounds, the Americans made it past the Preliminaries and into the final bracket. It seemed as if American and Russian soccer were on a collision course for the finals.
1st Round Olympic Baseball July 6th 2022
The bracketing did not work out well for the American Russian rivalry for baseball. They were both placed in the same bracket, indeed they were both going to play each other in the first round. Other then Russia, no other team in the group had much known skill. America had been stripped of its elite players, South Africa, France, and Spain did not have much skill to begin with. Two teams were to advance, and it was guaranteed that Russia would be one. The American baseball team looked nearly identical to the one that they used for soccer, and their pitcher was none other then Mike Jones. Even though Russia was guaranteed a win against America, the spectators were clearly on the side of America. Every hit that Russia got the stands echoed with boo’s, and every American hit the stands exploded with joy. The game was not as one sided as most though, as at the bottom of the 9th with 1 out and Mike Jones up to bat, the score was only 1-0 Russia. There was a runner on second, and the stands prayed for a homerun to end Russia’s assuredness at gold. The next pitch was right down the middle, and Jones swung with all he had. The ball seemed to shoot out to space, falling down to earth only after much flight up. The stands were all cheering on the ball, hoping it would go over the fence. The ball began to fall back down to earth, and clipped the top of the fence and bounced back in the field, only getting Jones to second base and the other runner made it to third. The next batter struck out, and with two outs, the crowd was on the edge of their seats. The batter swung, and another ball flew towards the fence. It looked like a guaranteed home run, until the outfielder jumped up over the fence to steal what would have been the walk-off home run. The crowd was stunned. They had been sure that the ball was over the fence, but now the game was over, and Russia had won. In the next few days, both teams went undefeated, and both advanced to the brackets. In a cruel twist of fate, they were to play each other in the quarterfinals; one of the two teams was going to be denied a medal.
Olympic Marathon, July 8th 2022
There would only be one chance for Russia’s 10 runners to defeat the most insolent of all the American athletes, Mike Jones. There was but one American, and he knew that he was the target of all 10 Russians. However, all down the 26 mile track, nearly every other sign was a Mike Jones sign. The world had fallen in love with this American military man, one of the very few left. All across the world, people silently prayed that Mike Jones would somehow defeat the Russian runners that everyone was sure had used illegal steroids. The race started off just like normal, everyone settling down into their own pace for the first mile or so. The Russians however had formed a box around the American, and had purposely slowed down to keep the American out of the running for a medal. They let their top runner continue out, and he quickly had the lead. Several hours later, 22 miles into the race, the runners shirts were soaked with sweat. The American Mike Jones was still searching for a way to escape the box around him, and he was nearly a mile and a half behind the leader. Finally, one of the Russians tripped over his foot, and for a few seconds, there was a hole in the pack. The other runners hurried to fill in the gap, but it was too late. Mike Jones had escaped through that hole and was now sprinting with unimaginable speed to catch up with the lead runner. The spectators on the side of the race went wild with joy, and cheered Mike on to the finish. He entered the final mile indoors to a packed gym with most of the people sporting American flags and chanting “MIKE JONES!” He knew that he had to run nearly twice as fast as the lead Russian, which seemed impossible because he had already run so far just to catch up. He soon passed 5 runners to move into 2nd place. He and the Russian were soon tied with almost 100 meters left. They were both in a dead sprint and were perfectly even at 5 meters out. The crowd was going crazy, the sound inside the stadium was completely deafening. Then Mike Jones did something that had never before been done in Marathon history. At the last second, he was barely 6 inches behind the Russian, and he knew he had no hope to catch him in the last step, so he dove. He stretched his hands out as far as he could and pushed off of his feet forward. He felt his body fly through the air, and then felt immense pain as he fell back down to the gripped ground that tore at his flesh. He and the Russian looked up at the giant screen to see who had crossed the line first. Slowly the picture loaded, and an American flag was shown right next to the black and white picture that showed Mike Jones hands just out in front. The applause was tremendous, and it was all that Mike could do to smile through the pain as cameras blinded him. He was quickly fixed up by the medical staff, and back to the practice room to practice for the next day’s games.
1st Round Olympic Tennis, July 10th, 2022
America had done superbly so far in the Olympics, advancing to the quarterfinals in both baseball and soccer, and winning gold in the Marathon. Now they were to the only sport in which no one had any idea who would be better. Expert player Roger Federer had gone through a car accident, and was forced to retire. The accident was most likely cause by Russian agents trying to secure the games for Russia. Rafael Nadal had been “sold” to Russia by Spain to help pay for entrance into the conglomerate. He was now the #1 seed in the tournament, and looked virtually guaranteed to win it. The number 2 seed was the Russian player Yuri Shlashkov, who many feared would take out Nadal through rather “un-conventional” means. The only true American in this tournament was by far the fan favorite, Mike Jones. The first round would pit him against Russia’s least experienced player, Dmitri Ratsputin. It was a quick match, 6-2 6-1 6-3 that put the American one step close to another medal. In the coming days, Mike was to defeat many other high seeded players in close matches, stunning the world with his tenacity during points. It all culminated with a final match in the semi-finals with Yuri Shlashkov. As expected, once Yuri made it to the semi-finals, Nadal was suddenly severely injured in a car accident, and it seemed certain that Russia would win gold in men’s tennis.
Semi Finals Olympic Men’s Tennis, July 20th 2022
Perhaps one of the most anticipated matches in history, Yuri Shlashkov against Mike Jones. Thousands of people gathered in the stadium, and many, many thousands more waited outside. As expected Yuri walked out in his pompous state, and seemed to soak in the attention. The crowd was anxious to get the match started, and many became impatient when Mike didn’t show up at first. At last, a long line of every American athlete arrived and ushered in Mike Jones to an ecstatic audience. Just after the American entrance, the two players met in the middle of Center Court. As the two drew near, Yuri muttered something into what looked like a headset hooked up to a communication device that was obviously hidden somewhere in his jacket. At that, just over 200 KGB Agents rushed into the stadium with pistols drawn. Mike Jones rushed to the Judges Chair, and used the microphone. “Everyone get down!” he shouted. The people in the audience immediately followed his advice, and before long the only people fully visible were the Russian agents. What was supposed to be an easy capture suddenly became a desperate fight as the 30 Americans suddenly pulled MP-5 sub-machine guns out of their gym bags, and began to spray at the Russians. Many Russians fell to this opening burst of fire, but many more still lived. The Americans were soon falling back, trying to find a good area to run out of the stadium, but none existed. Before long, the Russian advance had forced the Americans to split. Mike Jones was alone, taking cover underneath the main bench on the court, unable to reach his 9mm pistol he had hidden in his bag that was a mere 5 feet away. With the fight just 5 minutes old, the Americans had already killed 28 Russians, but had lost 6 of their own. Their years in the Rangers had trained them for fighting outnumbered, but the odds were nearly hopeless. One of the 5 Delta Team members had already fallen, and the other 4 were being separated from the main group by the Russians. It seemed just about over for the Americans when suddenly an explosion occurred as Mike Jones had finally risked it and run to his bag. He had retrieved his pistol, and a C4 detonator which he used to detonate pre-placed C4 blocks and open up exits for his men. Before long, the 4 Delta members had exited the stadium, and were fleeing into the panicked crowds outside. They dropped their weapons and stripped off their American jackets in an attempt to blend with the crowd. Inside the stadium however, only one man had any hope of escape. As his comrades tried desperately to cover his dash for freedom, Mike Jones sprinted up the stairs in an attempt to reach the exit his C4 had made for him. With bullets pinging all around him he dove out of the exit, and joined the panicked mob outside. Inside the stadium, the Americans finally gave in. Lack of body armor, numbers, and ammunition kept the Americans from holding off the Russian agents. All 18 surviving Americans that were left in the stadium were taken by the Russians and loaded into an unmarked helicopter that maneuvered into the stadium, and transported far away to a barn in the countryside.
Greek Barn, July 21st 2022 8:00 AM
The Russian agents had taken off their recognizable suits, and changed into Middle Eastern attire. They then began speaking in some Middle Eastern dialect, and getting settled into the barn which apparently had been set up prior to the actual kidnapping. News Medias all over the globe began exclusively covering the abduction of the 18 American Athletes and the murder of 7 more. Inside the barn however, things continued to be run smoothly. The Russians, now disguised as Muslim terrorists, began interrogating, and even torturing the Americans. They demanded to know how many were in the resistance that they were part of. The Americans denied being part of a resistance, but the fact that they had al been in possession of MP-5’s and had fought extremely well disproved that. The Americans however still clung to the hope that they would be rescued before they broke, and continued to resist. Meanwhile, the Greeks found out where the Americans were being held, and immediately surrounded that building. Hundreds of soldiers, police, and special operations officers surrounded the barn, and set up towers for snipers, and light up the place like mid-day, even though it was nearly midnight. The media got wind of this, and were out in force. Nearly every reporter in the city was out at the barn. Thousands of onlookers arrived, despite the late hour, to watch and pray for the Americans inside. After a few hours, the leader of the Russians came outside, and continued the façade of being a Muslim terrorist. He made the normal demands, no more aid to Israel from America, even though there was no real America any more, and the release of hundreds of terrorists. He then went back inside to wait out the night. Back outside, the surviving 4 Delta members and Mike Jones geared up with Greek SWAT equipment. Mike had also acquired some heat signature devices from some of his underground contacts, and he had quickly identified who was a Russian and who was an American. He had the machine connect to his NVG and color the identified enemy red while the Americans were colored blue. Mike Jones crept up slowly to the barn, and placed smoke grenades at key places, and quietly dropped a few into windows. He then retreated to the police line, and waited until the night got its darkest. At about 4:00 AM, the moon was nearly hidden by a solid layer of clouds, and, where it not for the police lights, the place would have been totally shrouded in darkness. At precisely 4:01 AM, all of the police lights went out, and every pre-placed smoke grenade began to release smoke. The Russians inside had no idea what to do, they weren’t told to expect something like this. They readied their weapons, but with all the smoke, and no lights of NVG’s, they had no idea where anyone was. The 5 Americans silently made their way into the barn, and bypassed the Russians. They entered the room where the captured Americans were being held, silently took out the 2 guards in the room, and released the Americans. They were then lead by the former prisoners to a place where the Russians kept a small reserve of weapons and ammunition. The recently liberated Americans loaded up with Russian weapons, and began to follow Mike Jones out of a window and out to the surrounding field where the Greek police had set up barriers. Once behind the barriers, the men immediately went the mobile Greek HQ, and informed the commander of everything they knew, including that the men were not Muslims, but Russians. The Greek police then turned back on the lights, and again asked for the men inside to surrender. Of course, the men refused, still believing that they held the Americans as bartering chips. The Greek SWAT teams then locked their bullet proof shields and began advancing on the barn. The Russians inside demanded that the men stop their advance or they would kill the captives. When the men continued their advance, the Russians went back to take out a captive and murder him in front of the police, but all they found were 2 of their dead comrades. In panic, the men attempted to flee out of the rear windows, but they were greeted with a nasty surprise. As soon as one of the men stepped foot outside the building, 5 claymore mines went off inside, and nearly three quarters of the Russians were killed instantly, with most of the others being wounded. The Greeks outside then dropped their shields and rushed into the building to capture the surviving Russians, but were too late. Every Russian that lived had swallowed a cyanide pill, and was already dead. The brief incursion cost the Americans 7 dead and 18 more wounded, but it cost the Russians much, much more. Just in terms of lives, the Russians lost 230 elite agents, and had ruined their public image. With the discovery that the captors were not Muslim terrorists, but Russians, the world opinion turned in favor of the American rebels overnight. Russia’s popularity rating went into the low single digits in just hours, and the Americans quickly escalated to over 97%.
Abandoned Factory, July 29th, 2022
The American athletes had captured the hearts and minds of the world. They were in the spotlight of every media presentation on the globe. Mysteriously however, they disappeared as soon as they had set foot back on American soil. They had used as many sources as they could to try and remain hidden, because they knew that if the Russians found out about the headquarters of the resistance, it was going to be all over. On the bright side however, their newfound fame had sent donations skyrocketing. In 2021, they received 940,000$, however in 2022, they received over 2 billion dollars in aid from both private and public sources. Back at base, the extra money worked miracles. More medical equipment was purchased, and the equipment they already had was upgraded. They bought more computers, and more powerful hacking equipment. Better surveillance equipment was purchased, and put around the perimeter. Better booby traps were bought and put into place; and of course, more ammunition was purchased so the troops could practice more. A lot of money was also siphoned off into many smaller accounts that were accessible only by a specific soldier, or by Mike Jones himself. The resistance also started a Swiss bank account to keep their money, and sensitive equipment safe. Some of this equipment happened to be several gallons of VX gas that could be loaded onto missiles which the resistance operatives were trying to purchase from outside the nation.
Abandoned Factory, August 30, 2022
The day had begun just like any other. The morning shift had awoken early to prepare breakfast, and the guards outside had changed with fresh guards. The base was just waking up when one of the trip wires were set off. Red lights flared on and off inside the building, and the guards on the outside readied their weapons. Automated machine guns, 4 of them, came online as their operators viewed through their scopes trying to find the cause of the alarm. Before long, a sniper on top of the roof spotted what looked like several hundred soldiers walking through the forest, and several tanks blocking all of the roads. The Russian soldiers had obviously been tipped off as to the location of the hidden base, as they spread out to form a wall and insure that no one got out. The soldiers inside the complex were busy doing what they had all trained for, but had prayed would never happen. Every item that could be evacuated out was loaded into packs, and into vehicles. Computers, extra weapons, medical equipment, ammunition, food, gasoline, everything that could be used if evacuated was loaded into trucks, or packed into backpacks. The trucks were readied, and the packs were laid out, but the soldiers were not yet willing to accept defeat. They loaded every magazine, grenade, pistol, rifle, and rocket launcher that they could find. The soldiers took up their arduously prepared bunkers and fighting positions and prepared for perhaps their final fight. While most men were in positions outside the building, to prevent the Russians from firing into the building and possibly damaging their vehicles, there were some men still inside, ready to get the vehicles moving, and guard the entrance should the Russians make it in. Outside the Americans waited patiently, hidden in their fighting positions, waiting for the order to come from Mike Jones who was hidden mid way up a tree on the front lines. He took aim with his sniper; the center of the telescopic sight was firmly in the middle of the Russian pilots head. The helicopter had been hovering for nearly a minute now, and Mike would have no problem killing its pilots and sending it, along with its probable cargo of 15 spec-op soldiers, to the ground in a fiery explosion. He waited until the ground troops were within range of his soldier’s weapons, and then fired. The shot rang out in the forest, and the world seemed to slow down. The helicopter seemed to hover for a second more, and then slowly, it careened over and smashed into the ground, taking its crew, passengers, and several unfortunate infantrymen with it. At once, the American lines opened up, and poured unimaginable fire onto the Russians. Within minutes, over 100 Russians were dead, and the surviving ones were retreating back to their regroup point. The American fighters quickly moved to brand new positions so that the Russians wouldn’t know where they were, and prepared to break the next onslaught of Russians. Once more, the Russian commander made a stupid mistake. He sent another ground assault of just infantry, only supported by 2 helicopters. Again, the Americans waited until 2 Stinger crews got firm locks on the Russian helicopters and then all hell broke loose again. The two rockets sped up and destroyed the helicopters, while the American infantry tore apart the Russian infantry. Again, the Russians retreated, this time their losses were heavier, over 200 killed, and 2 more helicopters lost. The Americans switched positions for the 2nd and final time, as there were only 2 alternative fighting positions for them; and waited again for the next assault. This time, the commander wasn’t so foolhardy. He sent in supporting tanks, and had his infantry slow their advance and keep an eye out for the enemy. Just before the Russians came within the range of the Americans, Russian jets appeared out of no where. Before the American Stingers could get a lock on them, they had already dropped their payloads and rocketed out of range. The bombs fell without much accuracy, but there damage wasn’t meant to be in their explosions. The Americans had been distracted enough by the airpower that they hardly notice the infantry close the gap between them considerably. Now bullets were pinging off of the American positions, and before long, American soldiers began to fall. Within minutes, the tanks began plastering any visible signs of Americans, and the Americans began to throw grenades more then fire their weapon for fear that the muzzle flash could give away their position. Before long, the Americans began a headlong retreat to their rear positions, just a few hundred yards outside of the abandoned factory. With bullets pinging all around them, and tank shells falling amongst them, some of the men began to lose hope. However, Mike Jones was an expert at defense, and had placed claymore at strategic positions. As soon as the main infantry assault had reached a certain point, dozens of claymores went off, exacting a horrible toll on the Russians. The Russians still came on though, as the snipers on the roof began their work, and the automated machine guns began tearing through the Russian lines. It seemed as if a thousand Russians were attacking, and the 3 tanks were still destroying all visible defenses within their range. Mike Jones knew that the tanks could spell disaster, and had his men open up with everything they had while he ran with all his speed toward the tanks. He reached the first tank, and put an anti-tank mine just in front of its tracks, and ran like hell to the next. Just as he reached it, the 1st tank exploded in a giant fireball. Mike repeated his tactic with the 2nd tank, placing an anti-tank mine under its tracks, but he only had two anti tank mines, so he was forced to put a block on C4 in the barrel of the 3rd and final tank, and disable its deadly effective weapon. With the tanks taken out, Mike began his trek back to friendly lines. As soon as he got there, he had the Americans placed mines behind them, and fall back to the factory defenses. The Americans were soon back at the factory, and the occupied balconies, windows, sandbag positions, and even the roof. The Russians sent in at least 10 helicopters to try and take the strategic roof away from the Americans, but all of them were shot down. In another infantry rush, the automated cannons took out over 600 men. The Russians tried and tried to take the roof, but every time either Stinger missiles or the automated cannons took out their helicopters. The Russians tried one last time with the largest infantry assault yet, and amazingly, the automated cannons only fired for about 6 seconds before their huge ammunition chambers ran dry. Without such a critical defense platform, and with their minefield cleared, the Americans had no hope, especially with nearly a thousand paratroopers now being dropped from high flying planes. Mike began losing hope, even with the superb job his men were doing, he still held no confidence in his ability to win. He began to get everyone that wasn’t needed to hold the Russians at bay to load up in the trucks, and prepare to escape. The President and his SS guards were loaded up in their own truck, and the convoy began to get started. All but a select few soldiers, led by Mike Jones, were soon in the trucks. As the few soldiers that were to form the rearguard provided covering fire, the trucks pulled out and sped off. As the last truck went to leave, Mike Jones, along with the rear guard, piled into it and sped off on the road. The Russian commander had mixed feelings that day. He had lost over 2,000 soldiers, but he had inflicted about 120 American casualties, and in this case, the Americans would have a much harder time replacing the men then he would. His main concern was the loss of most of his helicopter squadron. Those helicopters would be critical in relocating the fleeing rebels, and he only had 2 left. The Russian soldiers had already occupied the building with a little over 1,000 soldiers, searching it for any information, while the other 3,000 soldiers searched the perimeter for any wounded Americans that hadn’t made it out. The commander was just about to enter the factory when an enormous explosion rocked the ground. The building erupted in flame, and soon collapsed, bringing with it over 1,000 Russian soldiers, and the Division Commander who had been just outside it. The unseen power of American ingenuity had once again dealt the overconfident Russians a heavy blow.
Just outside Miami, September 23rd, 2022
For several weeks the surviving rebels had worked to transfer their loads of equipment into common trucks and U-haul vans to transfer it far away from their previous hideout. Using the insurgent program still on the rescued computers, the President had appointed the new hideout to be a spot just outside of Miami, inside of one of the many Florida beach locations....
