I know the FDA has a lot on their plate, but our pets should be protected too. It's not right that our pets are suffering from kidney failure because no one took the time to make sure their food was safe to eat. I realize also that the ratio of sick pets to total pets in the country may seem small, but just think about if you were one of the pet owners who suffered a loss. It wouldn't seem so miniscule if you lost a friend, your pet. And, we could look at this on a brighter side: if legislation is passed to make the FDA regulate pet food, that would create more jobs and unemployment would decrease somewhat. Unfortunatley, we had to have a tragedy like this occur in order to bring it to the attention of the public.
