When I go to school I hear about all of the clubs for Latinos and Black people and I read brown pride all over the bathroom stalls. Now when someone says white pride they are automatically called a raciest. Personally it really annoys me. Yea white people in the past were intolerant to other races but now most white people are not intolerant of other races. Last time I said I was proud to be white I recieved dirty glares from many people in my class. I had to explain to them that I was not raciest. I also wanted to make a caucasion club on campus because I found it unfair that everyone else got one but white people. The school refused to let me have a caucasion club on campus. I am a German White girl and I am proud of it. I should not in any way feel like I cant be proud. A lot of white people have dont a lot of good things in this world sure a lot of bad stuff but what race hasent? I just want to know when it will be safe to say that I am proud to be white without getting into trouble for it. It is extremely unfair.

I absolutely HATE to have to explain myself when people say that I am being racist. People pick out little comments and call it racism...and its so annoying!
I understand and agree with your being proud of your heritage. However, I understand why you were glared at and called a racist, as well. When people hear the words white pride, they think of skinheads, the KKK, and Hitler. That's how all those institutions empower the people to do the terrible things they do- by instilling in them a fierce racial pride that leads to the degradation of other races. Also, a Caucasian club could easily turn into a mini neo-nazi club. Not all white people are racist, that's true, but enough of them are that I'm sure you'd get more than a few nutters who hate everyone different from them. While I'm not saying it's right that other races get a club and you don't, I understand why it happened that way. The reason people look at you funny when you say you have white pride and want to start a club about it is history. Too many things have happened too recently for people not to get scared when they hear that. Hell, I'm white and I'm scared when you say that. Too many things could happen or go wrong.

the thing about being a white person in america is that you are not just one culture. A lot of americans are a whole variety of different types of white people. yes i am german but i am also dutch, swiss, english, etc. so what am i supposed to do start a club of just one part of me and join all of the rest. when i say caucasion club i mean all types of white people and celebrating the great things white people have done. plus i do not see why people should be pissed off and calling people raciest for being proud of who you are. white man may have killed jewish people and white man also had slaves but i have never had a slave of killed a jewish person. how long is this blame game going to go on?? its going to be a vicious cycle of blame and i do not believe in the belief of the white mans burdon. whaty i want my club to be is a celebration of who you are. I want to celebrate all of the different white cultures and the different people who influenced the world in the good way. why cant we have a month? why cant we have a club? why cant we have our own scholarship funds? why do we have to be a raciest if we even ask for this things?

You're considered racist if you ask for those things, because (as I said previously), people who speak of "white pride" are generally racist. It's very unusual to hear people who are interested in "white pride" and are also NOT racist.

It's not equivalent to calling a black person nigger, because that can't be misinterpreted However, the motto of the Ku Klux Klan is white pride world wide. And BTW skinheads are not all racist. Most aren't. I know like 6 skinheads, none of whom are racist. But anyway, a Caucasian club wouldn't really have a point, because, like you said, white people in America are from many different cultures, so there is no real white culture like there is a black culture. If you're proud of your German heritage, start a German-American cultural club. That would not be racist.
you know a lot of white peopl have done good things. i mean a group of white men wrote the constitution of the united states i mean a living document is awesome. einstein was awesome and he was white. not all white people are bad and a lot of them have done good things. i am proud of all of those awesome people in our history who have done great things. I want to celebrate them all and everything they have done for the world. I do not just want to celebrate one aspect of my heritage and where i come from thats why i do not want just a german club or a swedish or english club. especially being an american and being a lot of different things why cant i just celebrate us as a whole?

I have no problem with white or black, or brown or whatever pride you have, that's great. The problem is people who usually use those phrases are racist. Black pride makes me think of Jesse Jackson, Sharpton and Malcolm X and the Black Panthers. Brown pride makes me think of LULAC. White pride makes me think of the KKK. Jewish pride makes me think of Zionists. That is the problem with using the word pride, it conjures up hurtful groups.
I dont think that Al sharpton, or Jesse Jackson are racist, and though Malcolm X was a racist in his final years after his pilgrimage to mecca he denounced publically racist teachings in the nation of islam, which led to his breaking away from the organization.
the Black Panthers came up in a time when white people still lived in close proximity to black people, and black people faced violence every day, so the Black panther movement simply stated to "Fight Back"

I am a Zionist and so are many people I know. I am not religious and neither are many Zionists I know. Being a Zionist to me means I believe that Israel is the homeland of the Jews. That's all. You're not religious, yet you're following the Biblical teachings that say that God "gave" this land to the Jewish people. Isn't that contradictory? You've simplified the definition of Zionism in your last paragraph. Zionism is intregally linked to the Bible which in it, God claims the Jews as his own and says they can take the land from the people who are already there. The views of Zionism that Jews are superior might not be the views of all, but it is in the foundation of Zionism because of the biblical following.
Lastly, Zionism should be dead circa 1948, but it's not. We continually have clashes between Palestineans and Jews on the basis of both claim the land yet it has been deemed that this is the Jewish homeland. However that homeland was gained because God decided that the Jews would be his people and that they had the authority to take the land away from the people who lived there. So why should this be the Jewish homeland since they stole it from the people who existed there before? Palestineans are an offshoot of the Caananites who inhabited the land before the Jews, so if this is the case, then the Palestineans should have the land.

By generalizing Zionism, you are also generalizing its followers. It's like saying, "Judaism is elitist." That's generalizing Jews, not just Judaism.
...Zionism isn't about the biblical references. It's about the fact that Jews have maintained a presence in Israel for over three thousand years. It's the belief that it's their homeland (which is quite logical based on the religion and also the culture, history, etc). Not the belief that the Jews should be the ONLY people in Israel or even the rulers of Israel!

i want to celebrate different famous people who have changed the world that happen to be white. white people have had such a negative image for too long. I am tired of it. i never had slaves or anything like that. I want the negativity to go away whenever someone thinks of white people because not everyone who is white is raciest and hates everyone else who isnt white. let me repeat there has been white people who have changed the world for the good. Plus a lot of the time it seems like white people are condemed more than they are celebrated. when is the hatred going to stop? Yes in the past we have done bad things but who hasent? we are not the only race who has killed people? A lot of that is going on in Africa and in the middle east. So we are not the only guilty ones. So why can i not celebrate who I am without having people try to convince me that I dont deserve to celebrate? I wont turn the club into a KKK because I do not believe other races are worse than mine or whatever horrible things they believe. I believe we all need to be celebrated, not just the minoritys.

Alright, I'm being slightly sarcastic, but seriously, this is ridiculous. Why is there always such a need to feel special and different? All it is is another form of elitism. I'm not saying conformity is a cool thing, but why does everyone have to flaunt it and go "Let's make a club!!!" Dude, screw that. Respect each other as individual human beings. You don't need to have white pride if you have "decent human being" pride. You don't see me going around shouting "Hispanic Pride!!!" or writing "Nicaraguan Pride!" on the bathroom stalls. You are what you are and the contributes to your personality and that's cool. I can see your white. You don't have to tell me. I would assume, if you're an average person, you don't have any particular problem with your coloring. I've never met a Black, Hispanic, or Asian person that's ashamed of the way they look or a white person, either. Look at it this way: I'm half Latina and I have whiter skin than you do. People call me Snow White. I like my skin and it's paleness. I like the fact that yes, I'm white, both skin-wise, and nationality-wise from my mother's side, and I also think it's cool that I'm Nicaraguan. It's just what you are. I get that it's your nationality that you're getting at, but your coloring is a hereditary manifestation of your heritage. So, we can see you're white. Because you look relatively happy, we're going to assume you're not disappointed. Do you really need a club?
Plain and simple you just don't go around saying "white pride". Don't you get it? That is what the KKK says. You just DON'T! I am every kind of white there is but I am proud of who I AM not of the color of my skin. If you are so proud of your heritage, create a heritage club or (as previously stated) a diversity club.
