I will be very blunt here. I love writing, I love drawing, I love everything that is connected to art, (except for maybe fashion). So I will also admit, that I am writing a book, and I will be damned if I tell you it is easy. It's not, but it is fun, but the hardest part is coming up with a suitable title for it that also catches someone's attention. I'm telling everyone, that is truly the hardest part about writing books. Ideas for scenes and chapters come naturally, even if there are some road blocks, but the title is a challenge all its own. However, for any aspiring writer, the important thing is to not give up. Even though the title is the hardest part, you have to give it something. Do research, what is your book about? Can you take something from the book and make it the title? Trying maybe making the name an easily pronounced foreign word, like French of Japanese. If all else fails, you can always just write down a million different titles and try each one on for size. If you know another way, awesome, but these I have found to be effective.
The hardest part to writing a book is creating the title

The Title is difficult, and must be true to the content-and yet it must sell the book because people do judge the book by the cover.
A walk through a B&N proves that...
I try really hard not to do this. One of the most fun books I ever read, Geek Love, has a terrible cover that gives me a headache. I put off buying the book for a long time because of the cover. I'm glad I got over it.

many a great book is behind a poor cover and maybe not the best title!
I really like it when an author takes one little detail like the name of a small place and makes that the title, then when you get to that part of the book it seems familiar. Good luck with your writing though. I used to write poetry, but I've never attempted a book. I want to though.

Do you find it odd that you are not as strong as you once thought?
For me the title is not the problem. For me it is organizing my thoughts into chapters and moving on. My problem is I have started many books but I can't think of anymore to write. I can say I have alot of books I have started but never finished because I can not think of anymore to write or I am unsure of myself.
Your bring up good ideas, but with me that is not the problem. I am sure you will get your book published :)

funerals: Start Laughing and you will know what to write.
Okay, so everyone else may be lost here, but now that I know...I think the title you wanted is a great one, just one question...why would you ever set a book in b-town, unless it's about gang violence that is...lol

I know what you mean. I write for my school and local newspaper and the title is always the most difficult. I usually take hours trying to decide on the perfect one.
