had forgotten how to post blogs, sorry.
This is just a few optional ways, to help yourself in a more natural way. You guys can add more ways if you want, no real discussion here, just trying to allow some people to see that there is more out there than a prescription from the doctor.
Apple Cider Vinegar can help you loose weight and also keep you pretty darn healthy. Organic cider is better than the regular store stuff.
Melatonin is the all-natural nightcap. It's secreted by the pineal gland, a pea-size structure at the center of the brain, as our eyes register the fall of darkness.
"At night melatonin is produced to help our bodies regulate our sleep-wake cycles. The amount of it produced by our body seems to lessen as we get older. Scientists believe this may be why young people have less problem sleeping than older people.
"Studies suggest that... supplements can hasten sleep and ease jet lag, without the hazards or side effects of prescription sleeping pills."
It may have many other uses and has been reported to make people feel better, strengthen the immune system, and reduce free radicals in the body. Current research is underway to determine it's effect as an anti-oxidant, immno-modulator in cancer, delayed sleep-phase disorders, and jet lag. Tests are still under way so there is much to still be learned about it and its effects on the human body. Travelers and people suffering from mild sleep disorders.
If you take melatonin with vitamin-b6, it helps even more.
Ginkgo Biloba is perhaps the most widely used herbal treatment aimed at augmenting cognitive functions--that is, improving memory, learning, alertness, mood and so on.
Olive Leaf is a natural cure for many things, if you're sick with a cold/stomach virus, whatever, it can help. There is a lot more information on olive leaf, but if you're really interested, you can just look it up.
COLLOIDAL SILVER is also a huge helper on sickness and a lot of other things. It's also natural and is just tasteful as water. Go here for more on it - http://bio-alternatives.net/buysilver.htm, so far I know that theirs actually do work like it's supposed to.
Then there is Noni Juice - you can find sooooo much info on Noni Juice, and you will also see that like a lot of natural cures, some people have ruined them by adding something to them, a lot of times just being water.
Garlic - It is a great natural antibiotic, having positive theraputic outcomes for colds, coughs, flu, fever, bronchitis, ringworm, intestinal worms, elevated cholesterol, liver and gallbaldder infections, and digestive problems. It can also thin the blood as well as asprin due to the combination of two chemicals in garlic, allicin and ajoene.
Bee Pollen reportedly is helpful for beauty benefits, Hay fever or allergies and side effects of radiation. It also contains a lot of Vitamin C and also gives energy, that I know of.
This is from someone on some site - I have spent many hours lecturing about antioxidant therapy all over the U.S.A. Pycnogenol is a brand name given for an OPC compound which is obtained form the inner bark of the maritime pine tree found in France. It is produced by Horfag research Ltd. and sold exclusively under the name of Pycnogenol. However, OPC or (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin), is also found in grape seed and skin, strawberrys, red peanuts, and other pine tree barks. It is one of the very best antioxidants known. I personally have taken some of this every day for the last 10 years. Because of what I know about it. In brief, OPC with vit. C, helps to rebuild the capillarys of the body, ballances the histamine levels, repairs oxidative stress to collagen and in so doing can help reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer, accelerated aging arthritis, and over 100 other radical related diseases. It strenghtens bolld vessels, improves the actual flexibility of the red blood cell membrane, improves skin elasticity, smoothness, effective against allergies, fights inflammation, improves joint flexibility, reduces diabetic retinopathy, enhances immune response, reduces retinopathies, helps stomach ulcers.
Any health food store carries this product. I only take two or three supplements daily, and OPC is one of them, I highly recommend it!
Fruits/vegs and nuts
Walnuts protect arteries from the harm associated with eating meals high in saturated animal fats, reduce blood levels of total and LDL (bad) cholesterol substantially, increase the elasticity of arteries dramatically, reduce levels of vascular cell adhesion molecules, and lower blood levels of inflammatory chemicals associated with heart disease. They also offer a whole lot of protein.
Carrots are an important vegetable, and although they were known to the ancient Greeks and Romans, they were not introduced to Europe until the Middle Ages.
The orange-colored taproot of the carrot contains a high concentration of beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a substance that is converted to vitamin A in the human body. A 1/2 cup serving of cooked carrots contains four times the recommended daily intake of vitamin A in the form of protective beta-carotene.
Beta-carotene is also a powerful antioxidant effective in fighting against some forms of cancer, especially lung cancer. Current research suggests that it may also protect against stroke, and heart disease. Research also shows that the beta-carotene in vegetables supplies this protection, not vitamin supplements.
Carrots are also a very good source of dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate and manganese, and a good source of vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, iron, potassium and copper.
Broccoli was developed in Italy and is well established as one of the major anti-cancer foods. Over the past 20 years, numerous studies have concluded again and again that people who eat an abundance of broccoli have fewer cancers of the colon, breast, cervix, lungs, prostate, esophagus, larynx, and bladder. Broccoli contains indoles, which can help inactivate harmful estrogens that can promote the growth of tumors, sulforaphane, which stimulates cells to produce cancer-fighting enzymes, and beta-carotene, another cancer fighter.
Broccoli contains some 3% of protein and is one of the richest vegetable sources of calcium, iron and magnesium. Moreover, broccoli is very rich in vitamins A and C, exceeding even oranges in the concentration of the latter.
All of these are natural pills that will help certain areas, and you do not need prescription to get them.
